Frozen inspired light up pyramid- Christmas resin idea

Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am showing you how I made this Light up pyramid with a small Olaf keyring purchased from Asda. I have since been back to Asda and all the Olaf keychains had sold out. So sadly I can not link it in this description.
The five layer pyramid was made mostly with Vuba resin Ocean. with the last 2 thin layers being Resin pro 1-1.

looks great Wendy, I was worried about the witness lines but they didn't look all that bad, I have my pyramid mold but have not yet tried this, coming soon hopefully.

That is wonderful! I love it! You put a lot of work into that and it really paid off! I didn't notice the lines from the separate layers myself.

The frozen character was bought from Asda but when I went back to get more they had sold out sadly.
The other bits were just Christmas berries for making a reef and pieces I’d made myself with resin.
It’s amazing what can be put in resin.
If you choose things, make sure they are fully dry and not hollow. That’s my advice 😀👍 thank you Karen 👍😀❤️

Thanks so much. IMO the best way is royal mail. The least expensive is Hermes. I am a little biased as I am a post lady though 😜🙂👍
Did you grease in anyway the mold? And the resin you used can it be anyone or is specific for that kind of art? How do you make those crystals? Thanks
Hi Ivone. Thanks for your questions ☺️. Firstly I did not grease the mould at all but you can spray it with mould release if you want. I did however coat the outside with baking powder so it was easier to release from the plastic stand. The resin you use is totally your choice. But check it out on how deep you can pour it as some can only be 10 mm thick. Some pour upto 100mm thick so check that out. The crystals are made from crystal moulds. @@Toonpish my silicone mold pull away from the hard frame and it make the finish pyramide wobly.. hope it make sence.. 🤞😃
I understand what you mean now 😂 some silicone pyramid moulds seam to stay well tight to the stand while I have had ones come away. If you think it will warp the tape it to the stand until you get near the top. I’m guessing some are different kinds of silicone. Hope that helps 👍❤️

You know what Donald I don’t actually know.
If you need to find the volume of a mould, fill it with rice then pour the rice into a measuring cup. Sorry I can’t help more 😀😊

How much resin did you use in each layer?
I didn't measure it I'm sorry. But if you have the mould you can measure it with water or rice. hope this helps. 👍
