34:45 Jack Gleeson (the actor) has recieved a significant amount of praise, including from George RR Martin himself for this pitch perfect villainous performances as Joffery. He really did try his hardest to make Joffery the most hateable character in the franchise (for now...) in all the best ways
He deserves it, he truly made the audience hate him which shows what an incredible job he did

The rains of castamere is such a powerful song. I don't know if anyone told you what this song is really about.
It was written in honor of Tywin Lannister after he destroyed the house Reyne of Castamere who rebelled against him.
House Reyne's sigil was the red lion so basically the same as lannisters except for the color.
In the song they are saying:
"Only a cat of a different coat
That's all the truth I know
In a coat of gold or a coat of red
A lion still has claws
Mine are long and sharp, my lord
As long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke
That lord of Castamere"
So basically Lord Reyne didn't want to serve another lion and thought he could win against his former master but he was wrong and Tywin knocked his whole family to the ground and erased them from the map
I recommend listening to the original song on spotify porformed by Serj Tankian who is the frontman of the popular rock/metal band "System of a Down"

It's a small detail but I like that Prince Tommen initially laughs at the dwarf fight, then sees Tyrion is upset by it, and stops laughing out of kindness.

Another small detail I like is that when Joffrey is picking on Tyrion, Tywin looks pissed. He doesn't like Tyrion, but making a Lannister look like a fool in public enrages him.

Ep 9 is one of the top 5 best episodes of all time.
This is my fave ep to see people react to! It’s just so unlikely to see it happen on ep 2, you expect it as a premiere/finale.

The poison they used was called 'the strangler' which is the same thing Stannis' maester tried to use on Melisandre. If she wasn't protected by her god she would have turned out like Joff.
That book numb nuts (character not the actor) hacked up is one of only four copies in existence. No printing presses back then. Citadel may have a copy or at least part of a copy, but no way they would let anyone check it out. You would have to go there to read, and doubtless not just anyone would have access to it either.
Books were expensive back then, and right now even Tywin is worried over finances. Joffrey never thinks about consequences ever, because he's never had to suffer any consequences... until now. LOL
I just have to say this. This became my favourite episode after I started watching reactions. Mainly because, unlike the red wedding no one keeps alluding to it. Goodness, the amount of comments counting down for reactors until they get to the red wedding episode always shocked me (some start all the way when the reactors are in season 2). But no one or at least that I have seen made count downs to Joffery's death which of course was one of the few good things to come out of GOT for me.

Margaery isn't in the line of succession. Her marriage to Joffrey was not consummated. Because Joffrey has yet to father a child, the heir is his younger brother Tommen, followed by either his younger sister Myrcella (if females are allowed to inherit equally) or his uncle Stannis (if succession laws favor males).
