Lunacid Any% Speedrun -

Scuffed to hell and back but that's all a first run needs to be. Feel like all I need to do to get a somewhat decent time is not absolutely make a balls of Forlorn Arena and learn when to backstep boost and when to just walk. Fun run though, will try to stick with it for now until my interest inevitably shifts back to Turok like it always does.

What did you do with the settings at 1:30?

In previous versions of the game (I believe 1.06 and below), accessing the options menu, selecting more and then pressing on the left arrow at the top of the screen allows you to access pages that don't exist. Clicking far enough brings you to a page that stores the last menu "choice" you accessed. By default this is the save menu, so this allows me to make a save anywhere I want which is really useful for volatile tricks. You can do this with other menus as well, such as the warp menu and the level-up menu, however the warp will always send you to Hollow Basin and levelling up only gives you levels, it doesn't give you skill points as far as I'm aware.

How are you doing those backstep hops? Ive been playing around with it but havent been able to figure it out

I'm drumming my fingers on my mouse keys, hitting right click first then left soon after. You're trying to cancel the block animation with a swing so you can backstep much sooner and build up speed.

I'm slowly sliding off the wall by pressing W into it so I can drop down from the bridge without taking fall damage. Sometimes it doesn't work properly and I still take damage but I always survive with very little health to spare. There are faster but riskier methods that I'm opting out of doing for now until I think they're necessary for a good time
