- In this second of my small abstract acrylic paintings, I show you how, on an 8" square canvas board, you can create a stunning and unique artwork, with little effort and few colours.
I deliberately chose to use only a small selection of colours, to reduce complication and increase the effect.
The colours of Inks I used were Daler Rowney White, Indigo and Crimson, with the addition of Liquitex Transparent Burnt Umber and Iridescent Bright Silver.
In addition, there are a couple of brushes - flat and fine rigger, or liner - and a couple of palette knives, a Catalyst mini silicone tool and old plastic card.
I'm always keen to hear feedback and your suggestions for future videos, so please don't hesitate to let me know your thoughts! - Jak na to + styl

How do you stop your boards from warping helen? Beautiful work as always
Thanks Sarah, you're so kind! The boards are firm and don't warp or bend at all, making them perfect for 'wet' techniques. These are from a company called 'Arteza', and you can get them in different sizes. 😊
Beautiful piece of art! It is great to follow your proces. I am wondering, is your canvas pre gesso’d?
Thank you very much for that, Wanda. Yes, the boards are pre gessoed but I added another couple of coats myself to smooth the grain a little.
