Hell yea! Samar has been in my vault for a while and I've been dying to get better use out of him. I recently solo'd a bommal level in Cursed City with at 50 with minimal gearing and masteries.
Edit: now that you've solved my Samar issue, there is another vertically challenged champ in my vault that needs solving - Borogar...

What about using him really slow with a nuking helicath in stone skin? Helicath counters everytime he's hit with block damage. Not sure if a viable arena strategy

I used samar until I pulled Annabelle. I did 60 him and put masteries on him, but no books. My gear wasn't good enough to make it past the second highest level on Bommel hard though.

have ehim at lvl 50 and wasn't sure if i should upgrade him.... I can down bommel easy enough so will save the upgrade til I need it, will keep as a wait for a buff champ. I had ava for ages then she got a buff now she kills tower and city with just solo hits

You are using the A2 wrong. I didn't understand either but, it scales off the difference of his HP and the target. The more ho the target has than him the harder it hits. I have him hitting 1 mil in Clan boss.
