Widely available vegan food has helped me so much! I can no longer eat dairy, it makes me ill and my skin reacts so badly. Having a vegan option on the menu guarantees that there are no dairy products in the food I’m going to consume. I think it’s awesome. And it angers Piers Morgan, which is always a bonus
im dairy free for very similar reason and it can be so hard
I'm dairy free because if I even eat a little spec of milk I will end up in hospital and potentially die, not to be over dramatic. Love that there's more vegan options because it means there's a guarantee that I won't suffer an allergic reaction to the food! Yay! I like bacon sandwiches too much to be vegan, but I sometimes have vegan food for a change and tbh it's actually not that bad. I will definitely be trying this sausage roll😁

Luke, I love how chill you are about letting people do what they want to do. Like in this video, you explained why this change and veganism in general is important and beneficial without making people feel bad about maybe not being vegan. And you do it in other videos too, like when you review movies that you didn't like or other things that people might have different opinions about. I just really appreciate that you can support causes you believe in and share your opinions without feeling the need to yell at or drag people who do things differently.

Really nice I bought one and I regret buying it made me sick eating it I bought a normal one look vegans just eat pboring salad instead on a hot day I end up eating salad with some meat on the side for balance I even eat tomatoes like apples as a normal people with s normal diet of fast food and home cooked food and the odd sweet treats it's balance got to have balance you have to supplement meat with veg unless you want to live on vitamins which may not work aswel as animal vitamins

I agree with Tom Scott - faux-meats are going to get better and better and soon we won't know the difference until we actually look at the package. As much as I enjoy meaty foods, there is the constant point of having killed however-many-animals to get to it. So yeah I'd say this is a step in the right direction :)

Yesss Luke! ❤️ I LOVE how honest you are about veganism! I was a vegan for 3 years and I can say it wasn't easy at all, specially living in Brazil where there really aren't that many vegans and the ones that exist are mostly middle class which makes the price of the products very high, as they're the targeted market. After an economical crisis here and also getting significantly busier with uni, it was impossible for me to continue being a vegan and I was so embarrassed bc I just had that idea that yes, it was easy to be vegan, and I was probably just lazy, but that's far from the truth. I'm moving to Denmark this year and I plan on becoming vegan again as I know it'll be easier to find cheaper vegan options there, and I think for ppl in the UK who are vegan or want to reduce meat, this is definitely a good product and it also has a popular price, so it'll be a great option for those in a hurry or who are just bad at cooking like I am!

I'm not vegan (or have any allergies) but I really want to try this! I recently been making a conscious effort to try more vegetarian and vegan based food and cut down on meat and I'm actually enjoying it! I think some people expect you to switch to vegetarian/vegan overnight? Which may work for some but I feel doing it slowly is the way to go (even if it doesn't end up in me being strict veggie/vegan) I feel cutting down on meat intake and trying new foods is still a great achievement for myself.

I'm not a vegan, but I understand that veganism is a great thing for our world. I'm all for, and support, veganism, but absolutely hate it when vegans shout "MURDERERS!" at people, and essentially force them to stop eating meat. Once I'm finished on my diet with Doctors, the vegan sausage roll is intriguing to try... especially since I live in Newcastle where Greggs was formed and the factory is like 5 minutes from my house.
After trying 6 Gregg's where they should be sold I finally found them in Wells, ordered three and agree they're very good.
It really does taste identical, I had one today and they’re amazing.
Very helpful content! I turned vegan like 6 years ago, but have been vegetarian for a while now and what most frustrates me is that food companies and restaurants and supermarkets think that all vegan/veggie food has to be 'healthy'. Like, sometimes I just want a really fatty and carby and salty and processed and pastry covered and fast food. I'm not veggie just to be healthy, and I am loving how in only really the past year not only is there more vegan/veggie options, but there are also 'unhealthy' vegan/veggie options. Looking forward to going back to Greggs for the first time in over 6 years.

Personally I agree the sausage roll tastes exactly the same apart from the pastry which tastes different ever so slightly, but definitely in a good way(Not necessarily any better or worse pretty much the same amount of good, but just as good but with a slightly different taste)
i couldnt get hold of one on the day they were released and now im soooo much more motivated to go get one now ugh

There's not Greggs in my country but last year I found this amazing place in my city which is a cat cafe where they also sell vegan frozen food (there's sausages, nuggets, cheese, everything a vegan can only dream of) and it completely changed my life because it's not too expensive and I can go like once a month, get some frozen fake meat and whenever I don't feel like making food or stuff like that I can just heat it up and it's ready PLUS THERE'S CATS, I fucking love that place and if you're ever in Mexico City I'd be honoured to take you there (also they have vegan versions of typical Mexican food which is amazing because our food is great but mostly non vegan)
I'm so excited to try the sausage roll for myself, I've been flexitarian for about 4-5 years then last year I went full on vegetarian. Whenever I go out, especially in London, I try to eat vegan and this has made me so excited to eat out for lunch!

For anyone wondering I believe Pound Bakery's veggie sausage rolls (which are also mock meat) are 100% vegan friendly too and deserve some love! But I can't wait to compare them with the Gregg's sausage roll, although they have been sold out everywhere I've tried so far :^(
