As the wife of a former addict I'm going to say that Ray J went in the back and snorted a line of coke. His behavior is jittery, he verbally is responding to an inner paranoia and he fixates about not wearing his ring and responds to it as if someone external has brought this up. Even Princess looks at him and says "what are you talkin about?".
I have seen this Behavior many times. The addiction says to him "I need a line" in order to emotionally and mentally be strong enough for this conversation about all the bad behavior that I've had and the addiction I'm hiding from people.... the belief that if people consistently see you high they will attribute that to your personality, i.e. that's just who you are, rather than associating it with addiction.
And very interesting is the fact that Princess says "I don't have any boogers and you 'shouldn't' have any either". In a codependent relationship the co-dependents person's job is to keep the addict on point by admonishing them when their addiction shows to the outside world. I could go on and on. After seeing this I just feel for all of them.

You never stop being a parent or wanting the best for your family. It doesn't matter how old they get. You're still older and wiser. You have every right to knock some sense verbally into your own son. It's his parents responsibility to teach him how to be a good husband and father. I see through him. He's very insecure and he has some weird complex about her beauty. She's a beautiful independent black woman who can have who she pleases.. Yet his ego and insecurity about that makes him treat her like she's not all that. He tends to treat her that way to make her feel less than.. So she won't be confident..
