Okay, here are all the mechanics:
Toy Freddy: Put on the mask when he’s staring at you from the hall and wait for him to leave.
Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica: Put on the mask when you see them in the vents and wait for them to leave.
Mangle: Keep turning on the light in its camera to keep it at bay. If it leaves the cove, you’re screwed (though you do get a cool animation of it checking on you from the vent at the top left of your office).
BB: Put on the mask when you see him in the vent and wait for him to laugh or say something or he’ll drain your power.
Puppet: Don’t run out of power, and you’ll be safe from it.
Withered Freddy: When he leaves the Parts and Services room, he’ll go into the Prize Corner. Send him back with the light before he moves to the stage. The stage and kitchen are his checkpoints, meaning that’s the farthest you’ll be able to send him back after that.
Withered Bonnie: Once he leaves the Parts and Services room, he’ll either move to the room outside of Parts and Service or, after a number of seconds, to the Main Hall. Hold your light on him to send him back.
Withered Chica: Once she leaves the Parts and Services room, she’ll go to the room outside of Parts and Service or/and then to the Prize Corner. I’m sure she goes farther than that, but I haven’t seen her anywhere else yet. Hold the light on her to send her back.
Withered Foxy: He’ll start by not being visible in the Parts and Services room, but will eventually peek his head around the corner. Keep note of that, because once you don’t see him anymore, he’ll be in the hall. Hold your light on him until he leaves.
Golden Freddy (Thanks H'guah Leikeze!): They will either appear in the office, in the hall, or in the vents. Flip up your camera when they appear or they will take away your mask.
Music Box Timer: Time only progresses when you wind the music box.
I haven’t messed with any other settings yet, but once I do, I’ll update this comment!

What if Bonnie was the only animatronic unaffected by the mask, and you have to flash the lights at him to get him to go away? Since it's his face, putting it on while he is present results in death, but to compensate, flashing the lights makes him go away faster than Withered Foxy in the original FNAF 2.

i love the 'sending them back' aspect because in fnaf 2 there is no reason for checking cams other than the music box, so it gives players a reason to utilize cams.
I love how the mask resembles Bonnie's head more. It somewhat explains where it came from rather than just having a spare head. It's most likely from Bonnie himself, judging by him not having a face.

I LOVE how they added in the "shng!" jumpscare noise from the first game when they get close. That was always one of the omissions that didn't sit right with me
This looks exceptional, though with the cozy office and generally more user friendly design of the game I gotta say this feels like if fnaf 2 took place after fnaf 1 instead of before.

@@nether322 I'm just gonna say what most people think, but not everything is confirmed by Scott, only a few parts.
From games, with most important events that happen:
FNAF 4 (Bite of 83) > FNAF 2 (Bite of 87) > FNAF 1 (the 5 children going missing) > FNAF 3 (tells us about William's springlock failure/transformation into Springtrap in the FNAF 1 location) > SL (Michael, William's Son, goes on the search for his father, who is already Springtrap at that point) > FNAF 6 (The death of William and Michael)
FNAF world is confirmed to be not canon with the games and UCN is pretty much seen as hell of William Afton after he dies in FNAF 6.
But again, that's what most people believe, not everything is 100% locked in and confirmed.

I love this remake, I’d love for Scott to license this remake, I hope the dev remakes FNaF 3 soon, that game needs fixing, and this dev seems perfect for the job since he’s shown that he’s willing to change game mechanics about the original game, which turns out in the game being better in the end, FNaF 3 has a lot of potential and needs to be redone from the ground up, mechanics and all, maybe make the cameras less blurry and static, the og FNaF 3’s cameras are terrible for a game focused on knowing where the enemy is, they’re either too dark, blurry or static
Look up fnaf plus, it’s by the guy who made this and if you look into the details you won’t be disappointed

The static on the cameras is meant to add tension and challenge. It wouldn't be fair if you could tell where he was at every peek you took at the camera. The entire point is you oughta be quick and have a sharp eye to spot him standing in the far corner of a poorly lit room.
I’m here from 2022 to let you know that Phisnom said he wants nothing to do with FNAF anymore, because he hates security breach or something, but he does intend to finish FNAF Plus

Springtrap blends in with the environment well enough what with the coloration and all the other random animatronic parts lying around, and it's also rather poorly lit; the static is complete overkill. His challenge should be in his erratic movements, which he _does_ have, and in a variety of things he can do, which he doesn't really bother to do. A good comparison is 'Fazbear Entertainment: Storage', a different fangame with somewhat similar mechanics. Fredbear and Spring Bonnie (who, honestly, should've gotten a better name) appear as the more difficult characters, and they each have a variety of attacks - Fredbear has one attack and one sort of special move, and Spring Bonnie has two attacks and his own, somewhat less impactful special move. The two also work well together, with their movesets complimenting the other's. The Puppet also appears in that game with a system similar to the Phantoms' and to the golden duo, and is stated by the developer to have had a somewhat similar issue at one point to the original Phantoms - only being able to appear on some few cameras, leaving too quickly, and so forth - which were fixed, rather than just left to damage the game's enjoyability. It is somewhat comparable to what Open Source could've been.

Oh my god, same here! Except for me it's not the anxiety, it's the fact that I have really sensitive ears, which means if I have the rest of the game at appropriate volume, the jumpscares really hurt :(
I have always thought that the jumscares were part of the fun in this games but I understand that some people don't like them.

@@krimmAnims Help Wanted without VR is worse than the originals. It was designed to be in VR, so when you're playing with a headset it looks and feels right; but without one, compared to the originals, the animatronics have lower polygons, and lower quality textures/jumpscares.

I always thought the whole idea that none of the withereds fell for the Freddy mask was what FNaF 2 should've been, and that you had to find them on the cameras and flash them before they got into the office. I feel the real game really missed that opportunity and it would've made the gameplay have more depth, feel less repetitive and actually use the cameras. This is perfect. When you play the real game after a while you realize there's only 2 main behaviors shared across all the animatronics excluding Foxy and sort of Golden Freddy. Group 1 contains Toy Bonnie, Chica, Mangle and Balloon Boy who all appear in the vents and have to be stopped by the mask. Group 2 contains Withered Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Toy Freddy who will appear in your office with the lights flickering, which is when you must put on the mask fast enough and wait a few seconds for them to leave. There's barely any difference besides the very small quirks like how Toy Bonnie will walk in for a second and stare at you, Mangle won't instantly kill you, and Balloon Boy takes your batteries, but that doesn't change the fact that the main way you stop them all is the exact same. Foxy again is the most unique, and though Golden Freddy is a bit unique, he mostly falls under group 2 just minus the flickering light waiting period.
Technically, you could consider there being a couple other characters if you wanted to _really_ stretch it - the two Shadows, who can crash your game if you look at them for too long; and that roaming endoskeleton, who doesn't attack at all. So, effectively, you have 13 characters, 2 of whom don't attack if you don't look at them, 8 of whom are all deterred by the mask, 1 uses the flashlight mechanic and 1 the music box, and 1 doesn't attack at all. A bit of an imbalance. (Also Toy Chica was supposed to have the same slide across the screen as Toy Bonnie, but it doesn't work, which is why there's that minor difference).
"Another fnaf remake" is probably a reference to "Another Metroid 2 Remake", an excellent fan remake of Metroid 2 that got shot down by Nintendo.

Some nice changes I've noticed in this which differ from the original FNaF 2:
1) you have a Bonnie head now, instead of a Freddy head to defend yourself.
2) The building has power now, which wasn't a thing in the original FNaF 2. Makes a nice extra challenge (EDIT: I now realise that the power is for your torch, not the building, my mistake!l)
3) Mangle has her own cove
4) The Marionette's music box is a different song
5) the alternate universe this FNaF2 is set in is amazing
Overall, a phenomenal FNaF 2 reimagining!

Man this game looks amazing, one think that I like the most are the sound indicator that plays when you shine the light when an Animatronic is there. That’s something I missed from FNAF 1 that I wish was in FNAF 2.

I always thought that the original FNAF 2 was a complete was of cameras and animatronics, most of the time you only use ONE camera (the puppet) and most of the animatronics are dealt the same way (the mask) and I like how this guy made the game so the players use more than one camera and one tactic as well as remastering everything.
That's why I liked how FNAF 3 forces the player to use ALL the cameras.
This is my favorite Fnaf fan game so far, it brings back the old classic mechanics at the same time just upgrading it a little bit, i love it how all the animatronics are the same except its like RTX is turned on for their models, this fan game makes FNAF 2 look like its an old game even tho its 6 years old which is a good thing since this game gives me nostalgic vibes

I’m pretty sure that when there’s an animatronic in the vents or hallway the sound effect is from the first trailer when they all look at u and when Bonnie runs down hallway and stuff
To think, this fun little beta led to the creation of one of the most terrifying FNaF fangames ever concieved. FNaF +. I'm glad that Scott brought Phisnom onto the Fanverse Initiative to create FNaF Plus because of this game, but I do wish this didn't have to be cancelled in the process.

The worst part of the game being cancelled is that even though we have the beta build, phisnom has the full game just laying around that he will never be able to release

@@crazyolben_ The game was taken down because it was basically a better version of fnaf 2 that was also free, it's been a while since I've checked the creators twitter so I'm not sure what will become of it.

Also a cool little addition is the noise from when you flash your light on the animatronics it does either a normal or high pitched version of when the animatronics show in FNAF 1.

This is a really great remake as the best part about the original was the claustrophobic office, the fear of a small office is what really drove the fear of the office home.
