M not a fan of both and it’s my first Kdrama to watch with Ji Won in it and I watched a few kdramas of IU, but in my opinion Ji Won is a perfect Hae In than IU.

I am so glad kim ji won played the role. I have always liked her from her previous works. And she totally slayed it. Tbh i watched the series because of her. I haven't seen any drama of kim so hyun but after watching his acting with jiwon i will definitely watch his dramas.
I was very impressed with Kim Soo Hyun during MyLove from the Star. He was relatively young and still up and coming back then . He held his own with the leading actress who was already famous and well loved. I fell into a marathon of his works before he came back from military ... Then ❤him in It's OK to Not be OK. He is definitely great with angst and emotional acting...
You need to see Kim Soo Hyun's other drama like Moon Embracing the Sun. I started liking him in that drama. He was really good in that drama. Then I started to watch all of his drama. Now I understand why he is the highest paid korean actor

Kim Ji Won, even without trying fancy clothes or glamour make up, she already looks like princess and chaebol, also her stare and how she managed her face expression, I don't think other actress can do that easily. The world works on its way so the Ji Won already destined to be play as Hong Hae In❤

This is one of the best chemistry that I’ve seen in kdramaland. And Jiwon portrayed this character perfectly. She went above and beyond in this drama. She’s already so pretty but my gosh her visuals in this drama are magnified at another level
Kim Ji Won was destined to be Miss Hong Haein.
All the actresses that were possibly frontrunners are great but once Kim Jiwon stepped into this role from the very first episode you can't imagine anyone else in this role anymore. I'm so glad others can see how versatile Kim Jiwon is as an actor to go from my liberation notes to something like this is so impressive. The microexpressions she is able to switch to and give is absolutely incredible, I can't imagine anyone else matching up to kim soohyun and I'm happy she was casted. The only issue being jiwon's fan is she likes to hibernate for 2 years before we get to see her again lol which I really hope isn't the case this time around. I hope she really utilizes the popularity she gets from this show and not make us wait too long for her next project.

Ji-won has been perfect. And let's be honest - IU would have been incredible (as would the others), but if IU got the role it would have constantly drawn comparisons with Hotel del Luna, which would have been unfair. Both shows have proven they can absolutely stand on their own. I love all the actresses they've named, but Kim Ji-won is excellent. She is beautiful, talented, and can do a huge range of characters. Look how different she is between this, Arthdale Chronicles, Fight for My Way, and Descendants of the Sun. She's like a completely different person in each of them. She has excellent range as an actress, and I'm glad they went with her over the others. I also think her "more mature" look which some said as a negative has been a huge boost to her credibility as a CEO and business woman.

absolutely, I like IU but I don't think she can convince me that she is a high powered CEO of a prestigious company. No way. She has that baby-ish face. Kim Ji Won fits that role like a glove. IU was partly considered because of her ability to pull those trend-setting fashion icon. Well, Ms. Kim sure did too in QoT. In many scenes, she morphed into this intimiatingly beautiful lady, bouncing steps like a supermodal. Her acting is brilliant. Thru her, we all experience Hae-in's love, desperation, fear, and loss. The role was not made for her originally, but she took it and made it hers and no one can claim otherwise.
I totally agree. Maybe bec of Liberation Notes that's where the impression of mature lady came from. But they should have watched her in Fight For My Way where you wouldnt totally recognize her as KJW at first bec that happened to me lol 😂

Queen of tears became my recent favourite drama. If Kim Ji-won wasn't in this drama it wouldn't have been this good as she gives the hong hae-in vibe. I seriously love their visual chemistry and i really cant wait for ep 15&16
No talented actor can carry such a drama that is based on a couple alone. Soohyun is an acting powerhouse BUT without jiwon playing her level best opposite him, the amazing direction, and writing, QoT wouldn't be QoT. Not without THIS hae-in. Not to mention, their extraordinary chemistry and acting is what has kept the viewers from dropping the serial midway. Not everyone can keep up with such a tear-jerker otherwise. Hae-in was made for her, and now Jiwon is Hae-in and Hae-in is Jiwon. Casting Soohyun and Jiwon together was their best decision.

in the early ep, when she was lost in the countryside, how she reacted emotionally to the sight of her husband walking towards her is absolutely heart-wrenching. Her mouth was quivering and shaking. At that moment, she is a little lost child, frightened of the dark, but overwhelmed by the feeling of relief and intense happiness to have been found by her parents. I am a parent, so I know that exact feeling. At that moment, she was actually living the nightmare. At that moment, she won my heart. the best actress. IU is a good one, but I don't think she could have delivered that.
Ji won did a good job… But IU is a phenomenal actress and the way she has handled both badass and really emotionally wrenching roles is quite evident in her works not to mention her stardom and her history with KS.

I watched Dream High and The Producers but I never felt the chemistry between IU and Soo Hyun. Also, Ji Won and Soo Hyun are among my favorite actors of their time. So I am so happy when they are paired in Queen of Tears. Now, their performance did not disappoint. The chemistry is overflowing. I am a happy fan. 😊

KSH & KJW as the ml & fl in this project is amazing. This project was meant for the both of them. Whether other actors/actresses was approached is now in the past. These two are just nailing it. I have watched all the projects of both & their acting skills is very professional & of a high quality. When main leads are chosen for projects they give it their all. I can't imagine other actors in this roles, the same goes for King The Land where Junho & Yoona can't be replaced by others. All main leads in any project are good otherwise they would've got the part. Thank you.

Kim Ji Won was excellent as a professional yet sensitive female Military Officer in "Descendants of the Sun", and I believe this experience really helped her with the character of Hong Hae In.

OMG I keep watching episode 1 to 14 3rd time now. while waiting for the episodes 15 and 16. Aside from SoYe jin from Crash landing of You. My favorite actresses are Kim Ji woon, Kim Tae hee. They are both superb ,versatile, and very good actresses in the Korean showbiz industry. Hope more projects for them. And lastly, kuddos to the writer of QOT Park Ji-eun and tje otjer cast and production staff of QOT.❤❤
If not the chemistry between jiwon and soo hyun QOTs will not be this sensation and skyrocketing ratings. I love chemistry between lead stars if not I will never watch any good drama. Chemistry is my number one pick for me to watch any Korean drama. Without chemistry drama will be dull and boring.

in my opinion, I've never judged any casting before watching the roles they play first. This is one of the best examples because you never knew before watching them playing! I bet you that the actors and actresses never predict the outcomes either. As actors/actresses, their jobs are to portray their best roles, so they both worked hard for this series! Kudos to the whole cast and the QOT crews! This series is a big K-drama hit for this 2024 year!
