There’s nothing boring about well thought out design and quality on this boat. True sailors appreciate dependability and high quality on the seas. These are the things knowledgeable buyers look for. Very well done presentation!
I think I know to whom you are replying and I cannot agree more! I feel I have a better feel for this boat compared to others I have watched videos on. PSC should give this guy a little swag for the good advertising he’s done. I wasn’t thinking about PSC before. Am now.
I owned a Crealock 37 in the '80's...the video bring back a lot of memories😊
Ty for the informative Video. Always wanted to see inside one and now I have.
And spend a year or two exploring the Sea of Cortez. Beautiful vessel.
Nice video. One does not have to be able to afford such a sailboat to enjoy looking at them. Happy Trails
This would be my dream boat , thanks for showing it !
Now that’s the way to describe a boat!
Quite lovely
The vessel is beautiful. New subscriber from Vancouver Island, I really enjoy your video's !
Very clean and nice
Belleza total.
nice bright work.
She's a beauty. Love the lay out.
Very nice. One of the first things my wife asked was, "Where's the bathroom?", and then we heard you mention the Head around time 13:37. On a side note, I recently finished reading Johnny Wray's South Sea Vagabonds (1939) where he built his own 34 footer and then sailed around the south Pacific. A fun read if you get the time.
This was a really nice video. Thanks!
That’s a great boat. Undecided in the range of 37-40 feet. I actually saw this one on yachting world.
It’s 4 more years before I’m seriously in the market but I started looking at what is available and the price ranges. The PSC is my top contender
Check the Morris 36.
@@Deutschtown kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk in kkkkkkkk
You're just another dreamer. You will never buy a boat.
Very nice!
Pity that the winches look neglected of maintenance.
Well created video and professional narration!.....From a marketing perspective suggest not to reply to negative comments regarding any issues...Real buyers can see the quality and negotiate for themselves.
Thanks Walter! Appreciate your comments, and I agree that real buyers will appreciate the value. The others who know not what they speak of, I just enjoy schooling them since their mama’s never did! Lol
@@LearnToSailMexico LoL.
The aluminum foil in the windows looks really cool!
Please consider the Morris 36 for blue water cruising and custom attention to detail.
Hope you all good, healthy and happy down there ! ... are you getting into sales ? that could be a lucrative deal maybe eh ?
We're doing well! We'll be hanging out in San Carlos for a while we think. It's a good cruisers community here ;)
Nicely appointed, ready to sail, vessel.
Beautiful boat! Still for sale?
What's the name of the marina/boatyard?
I love it, but ... BIG $$$
FLORIDA 🏖️⛱️💯
It is amazingly well maintained boat compare to its built year!
No mention that I heard, but are these keels bolted on?
Has this 37 sold? Current asking price?
Great little yacht - but very expensive for a 37 footer built in 1998.
IDK. Go find a new boat built this well in this condition.
Especially in Mexico, it seems a bit pricey.....not a lot a bit
I was marveling at the condition. I live on the oregon coast and 10 years in a garage here... it would have more corrosion stored inside with no action taken. Someone has spent a boat load of cash restoring this boat or they have been meticulous about washing and maintaining. Either way, the value is there but I can imagine this vessel going to crap under my ownership since I cant dedicate that much time and money to keeping it pristine. May be pricey but it looks so clean for the age.
How much is it ?
@@janhbhugo5085 ....too much.
That magnificent Pacific Seacraft looks like Atticus ll acquired in April 2021 by a couple of highly experienced blue water sailors by the name of Desiree and Jordan from their YourTube Channel Sailing Project Atticus.
J Hill, the Atticus II is a 40 footer...those three feet gives you a separate shower which may be important for some lady sailors....cheers🍷🇨🇦
That boat was bought by their viewers. They did not pay any money for it, and its not insured.
Looks good - if overpriced - for coastal sailing. Not sure how well adapted it would be for a longer passage. A lot of space below dedicated to dinner guests rather than functional space for one or two people on a passage or even a liveaboard. Fuel capacity is pretty limited, but the water maker is a good addition. Didn't get a clear feel for the cockpit, state/age of electronics (chart plotter, sounder, speed, auto pilot, etc.) Nice boat, but I don't see it being useful for more than coastal sailing or island hopping. If that's what a potential buyer wants, it might be a good fit.
@@LearnToSailMexico, built for offshore, no doubt.
@@alanbrookes6637 if it’s the boat I’m remembering, definitely built for off shore. For a small group only. 3-4 max for any extended sailing
Its a Pacific Seacraft. You clearly know nothing at all about boat if you're questioning if its good for long passages. Thats like looking at a Rolls Royce and questioning if it's luxury enough.
WOW that's OVERPRICED! Beautiful, but not for that much in a 37'. :-(
yeah MAYBE a 40-50ft would be worth it fort he price point. That being said they are very well made
I don’t think that it’s overpriced considering the price of a new boat and the condition this one is in...Pacific Seacraft are high quality yachts...cheers🍷🇨🇦
Overpriced compared to what? Considering capability and condition, I was thinking it fairly priced.
Overpriced compared to what? A Hunter?
❤
Why is there foil over all the opening ports? I'm guessing to avoid sun damage to interior
Correct
To keep the conspiracy theories out, of course.
Gotta say, tiny b’s answer deserves more air time!
Cause its owned by Mexicans from a trailer park.
I wonder if this is the one that Jordan from Sailing Atticus was looking at?
⬆️ can't be. He was never in Mexico
Someone else mentioned it’s a different length. 40 v 37. Just read that a moment ago.
Who cares. Jordan and his wife just beg people for money.
How much square feet ahg?
Wow, what a Beauty, and well cared for thru her years. Autopilot?
Yes
I have never seen hinges on doors go from top to bottom. Piano hinges ..
Asking price?
No line in the traveler? How come?
All the running rigging on the boat has been removed you dummy.....
Sorry prices is way over what it should be . Great boat 👍
The average sold price for this make/model/age is $194,199. There has only been one 1998 Pacific Seacraft 37' in the last 17 years that has sold for less than the asking price. The next closest sold price was $154,000. So, no, the price is in fact not "way over what it should be", according to real market stats.

The best boat in the world 🌎, I like it
you forgot to mention all the things that need to be fixed, lol.
That is why you have a survey done when you are serious about buying a boat...
most of the plastics have extensive UV damage and the standing rigging had some corrosion issues.
@@roadrunner6081 take a look at that CZcams Channel called Sailing Project Atticus.
@@jhill4071 This is not the same boat you dummy. This is a 37. Not even the same length.
No heater/AC?, No double bed?, No hot water cockpit shower?, Recent survey? Shouldn't external chainplates be T5 Titanium?
... and the shower was NEVER USED ?!? PLEASE CRAY TELL, did the boat stink? 🤧
Titanium is brittle. Not what you want for chainplates.
@@TripleWhopperWithCheese Patrick Childress recommended T5 Titanium chainplates.
Please provide references to support your claim.
@@johnq.public2621 I dont care what Patrick Childress recommends. Im a building engineer. Titainium is brittle at room temp. Its best application is high temp situations like engine valves where you need a high melting point or looking for weight reduction. Steel has way better tensile strength and lower elasic modulus. This is why nails are used for house framing and not scews. Scews snap, nails dont. Same reason your running rigging fitting are made of bronze, not titanium.
@@TripleWhopperWithCheese Specifically T5 titanium doesn't have the correct properties?
come on publisher's clearing house.
Beautiful boat beautiful video but the music was incredibly annoying. Just my opinion
The deck and cabin top are made of balsa core to save the manufacturer money. There is no worse material for use on the water. When it dries out it turns to powder and when it gets wet in falls apart like a paper towel.
Sold in 2019
You describe the boat as 'impeccably maintained', but there's quite a lot of polishing to be done on locker hinges etc. So, yeh not impeccable. Nice though. Can you tell me why there are so many boats for sale down there? Is it a tax thing?
Baha / Sea of Cortez is beautiful and cheap. You can get a slip between 300 - 500 USD a month depending on your size and exact location. This attracts many boaters, so that the area hosts some of the biggest boatyards/storage I have seen.
Boats purchased "offshore" from Mexico do sidestep paying sales tax in the US (for a US registered boat), and when imported into Mexico with a Temporary Import Permit, you also do not pay sales tax in Mexico. You will still pay "estate tax" in some states if you were to import the boat into those states and have it remain there for a minimum amount of time. Otherwise, if you intend to continue cruising in Mexico, or going beyond, it's a excellent option to find well equipped boats that are ready for extended cruising, without having to pay sales tax!
I have 32k! Cash!
Invest in utilities
Yes it’s nice but way, way overpriced.
@@LearnToSailMexico haha...don't bite, they have no idea or are too lazy to google....correct about yacht world pricing....peace.
Not really. You always ask more than you are willing to take. It's a nice nice boat. That said, the insurance co will likely want the standing rigging replaced.
Biggest problem I see is that it's on the west coast. If it was in Guatemala or the Caribbean, I'd give serious thought to making a trip to see her.
Obviously you don´t know much about sailing yatchts. This is not a Jeanneau or Benetaeau.
And you say this because you have seen a lot of junk yachts for 30 or 40 thousand
It's a very nice sailboat, but my humble opinion it's a little over priced.
a little overpriced..the understatement of the year.
Only $100,000 more than my budget.
Knock 100K off the price and I might be motivated .
@@Chebab-Chebab so…the value is based only on what you can afford? Interesting approach. Dr. Ont think it’ll catch on, but I’ll see if my local Mercedes dealer will work within my budget…. 😜
@@just-dl Sorry, I thought mine was an easy sentence to understand.
I meant: I can't afford it.
Anyone who thinks these boats are "overpriced" has no clue what these boats are about or their capabilities.
"Better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
Do some homework, or at the very least, a web search or two.
Nice boat but I can't pay that much
Check out some comparably sized Westerly boats. They’re older, the woodwork is less high-end. The focus on features, storage, livability, etc, is similar. I work from the theory your perfect boat is out there Might be a little further away….
No too expensive !
You people that are knocking on this guys asking price should go price a new one and then add in all the gear.
Why am I struggling for a price here ! If it’s over a certain price I’m out ! Like the pacific Seacraft but not for silly money ! Not paying
Looks beautiful but the hull is obselete, and the salon is cramped with only a 10’ beam
I would love to hear how this hull is obsolete. I’ve been intrigued with this boat since 1972 when it’s final lines, where sent off to Pacific Seacraft. I was only 7.
If she floats and shiny bits stay on top, I’d say it’s not yet obsolete. Never though of physics as going out of style….
Ypu forgot to explain what makes it obsolete besides your worthless opinion.
Thats not a cutter, its a ketch.
It’s actually a cutter rigged yawl...mizzen mast abaft the rudder post 😉
This 22 year old boat looks as if it has never been sailed or ever used. In fact it looks to be in factory fresh new condition. ..So very sad!!! ...The current owner must have a very bad case of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). ....So very sad!
what is the best? end prise?
Boat looks nice, but the footage is just horrible. Everything is zoomed in so much that you can't see anything in relation to anything else. You want wide shots so you actually see how things look.
When I was a kid america made the best shit and the rest of the world made drink umbrellas and thimbles. Today US makes a decent drink umbrella and shitty potted metal thimbles.
lol...well, at least PSC and Island Packets are a little nicer than decent drink umbrellas. But I hear ya.
LOA vs LVL....just looks like a huge loss of living space for that sort of money unless you wish to compromise and sail solo
These things were ok in their day but thst day was 40 years ago. Hydrodynamics has moved on half a century ago.
There’s a lot of elbow grease work to be done plus an insurance inspection will call for some hardware replacements and no hill inspection in this video so shell out more for a haul out and full look I’d say your about 39 k over priced
Insurance does not do inspections. Its clear you have never bought a boat in your life.
Very slow video
i offer $55 k
This is not Facebook Marketplace.
@@TripleWhopperWithCheese $55,000

you lost me at cilantro 🤮
My wife is allergic to cilantro….do do I keep the name or not? 🤔
Thats not a "cutter rig" thats a ketch cutter rig... smh. Come on its not that hard, cutter and clipper are staysail rigging, a clipper has a bow sprit and the staysail connects to the bow and the head sail connects to the bow sprit, a cutter the head sail connects to the bow and the stay sail co.nects to the deck, mast head sloop and ketch are the set up of the mast..... smh come on man
S.V. Divergent it’s actually a cutter-rigged yawl...don’t try and argue with experts...lol
Yawl need to learn your rigs a little bit better before you go off telling someone that they're wrong.
A Ketch's forestay is attached to the head of the mainmast, and is placed ahead of the helm.
A Yawl, has self supported rigging, and Is placed aft of the helm.
@@tinyb69 the way I learned to remember it…if the mast is back there Yawl will be happier than if that boom up there ketch-es you on the side of the head. Something about pain and not forgetting…
21 minutes long and the son of a b**** doesn't tell us how much it is? How much is it?
Did you bother looking at the description? It’s. Right. There. And, just so you know, it’s best to NOT put pricing in the video. If the price changes, it’s hard to update. But if you put it somewhere that can be edited, like I dunno, the description? Then it can be updated, marked sold, etc.
Blue water sailboat is a phony name invented by uninformed sales people, this is a 38' sailboat with a 27' waterline length, your hull speed is tied to your water line length, on a Crealock 37 it's about 6.8 knots, not fast, as for blue water sailboat, Webb Chiles just completed his 5th circumnavigation in a Moore 24 without even standing headroom, any sailboat with a seasoned sailor in charge any sailboat is an off shore sailboat, with a novice at the helm no boat is an off shore sailboat
Uninformed people say that “any sailboat can be an offshore boat”. Some can and do make offshore passages...few have been circumnavigating for over 40 years, as the PS37 has.
I don’t suggest calling a boat a blue water because a naval genius was able to make it work. I think the boat an average sailor can safely conduct on a passage is a safer designation. I just looked for a technical definition of blue water, and found a not-agreed-to variety. I’d say generally the capsize ratio is a starting point. Capacities in term of fuel, food, water and stores would be important but hard to precisely define. I have a bee under my bonnet about stability. I’m sure there’s criteria for that. I did find a nice discussion on a thread that was strong on good information, light on consensus. (Sailors disagreeing? I’m shocked!) 😜 anyway. If a model has safely crossed oceans several times under the different captains, I feel it can wear the blue water badge. You now have my opinion…do so with it as thou wilt.
Go out in a Moore 24 and let us know how it goes when you get hit by a squal with 15 foot seas in 40 knots......
You just made a very nice boat very boring.
