    Thanks Thanks sooo.. much Belinda ,,for sharing this video..I also request you to please show a video about raw materials (If Possible)
    ?? DO we have to conduct any raw material testing.. like as we conduct testing on finished product for stability and microbial challenges..OR I think COA is enough and when we buy from supplier ,,we can use raw material or actives in formulation without any additional testing..THANKS

      No you definitely need to test raw materials, especially from smaller suppliers and also depending on their risk. We cover this in our unit on microbiology, it is a quite involved topic, I'm not sure if it would suit a 10 minute youtube video, but you can study the whole topic with us as part of our Quality & Stability program, available as a training package only or as a full Certificate. Hello IPCS, I was to buy an incubator for my small brand..This video will be a great help for me. Please my question is 1) Is there any difference between stability chamber (refrigerator size) and incubator.2) is light [photo] testing necessary for small brands.

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  Před 4 lety

      Light testing does not often replicate accelerated or real time conditions; so it can be helpful, but can also give false results too. Be careful with interpreting your test results. A stability chamber is an incubator, just different names. Hope this helps!

    Thanks blinda, isn't 40 degrees enough to judge stability as in pharmaceutical field by ICH GUIDELINES?

    Hi Belinda. Is it ok if the incubator to be used for stability testing has no relative humidity control feature? Or is it really required?

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  Před 4 lety +3

      Its not required for cosmetic products - therapeutic/drug products do need this feature. For cosmetics, as long as you check for water ingress or loss (using specific gravity, for example) then you don't need the humidity control feature. Happy formulating!
