- Today's Friday Funk Jam is a guilty pleasure of mine. I am not afraid to admit that "Axel F" from Beverly Hills Cop is one of my favourite tunes of all time! Harold Faltermeyer was an absolute power house in 80's film music and is a huge inspiration to me. 🎹🌴🚨🎬
Drums - Linndrum
Bass - Moog Multimoog
Lead - Oberheim Ob8
Chords - SCI Prophet 5
Synth Mallet - Moog Grandmother - Hudba
0:16 the absolute genius of pianists to split their brains to play different melodies!
When i try that, i get 2 of exactly the same and neither of them sound good...
I think it's cgi, two takes and join in the video editor
@@j31zerok Not really, i can do what hes doing in the video. It takes a few weeks of commitment but its definitely possible and you dont need an editor
@@ProjectEurobeat if so 🤐....I tried it and it never worked, maybe I lacked consistency
He he he he he he he he, he he he he he he
He he he he he he, and then another he he he he he
Comment I was looking for right here.
Wow the section at 0:40 is such a nostalgic 80s vibe!
Excellent, man that is impossible for me to play the bass and main melody at the same time.. lol
synthartist69 me too 😂
It’s photoshopped
I've said it before, he's not human, like a Terminator designed not to hunt Sarah Connor but to play analog synth instead.
Me too. If you have a way to record yourself on a physical recorder or PC/Laptop do one at a time & then playback all parts complete & in time. That’s how I do it, the pros do it on recordings. Luke’s so good he can do both at same time on camera
Ugh same. I can only play with 1 hand at once
LETS GO CRAZY FROG!
All I hear when I hear the Beverly Hills Cop theme is Eddie Murphy's "HEH HEH HEH". One of the best movie trilogies ever. Especially the first two movies.
Such a hero
very well done on the bass and melody - both hands. That mulit moog does so much work for you and the bass on this sounds spot on
Your timing is 10/10
Yes! Thats really cool. I love your Jams so much. thank for all your effort.
Amazing! Great performance
Excellent technique. Well done.
This is great!
Sounds so good!
Just what i needed before bed., thanks luke!
Gifted man
Simply perfect
Not quite - missing a chord at 0:27
oh yeah..! ❤🎹
Great cover 🙂
Super dope re creation. I was listening to Pet Shop Boys, Love Comes Quickly, and immediately thought of your EP. What wonderful sounds you could make on that, circa 2020.
Love it!!! Im adicted to dx7
There's no DX-7 in this video tho
Better than original.
Nice! :=)
Awesome job. Can you do Tyrone Brunson's "The Smurf"?
I don't know too many key board players who can play 2 key boards at the same time playing separate rhythm.
actually the Roland Jupiter 8 is the lead synth
Класс😀😁😊😉😚😍🤗
Good morning officers. What y'all the second team?
what can you tell me about those little clicka clacka sounds? (I'm trying to reproduce them on my own setup, but not sure where to begin)
Don't you have a Roland JX-3P? It's the synth used by Harold to record this theme! (BTW the bass sounds perfect!)
I used to have one but sadly sold it years ago. I have a JX-8P now.
Yes, my favorite too, not 'the" fav but good, but I don't know why? IF I could figure out why, maybe a would be a wealthy composer :)
🐸
Isn’t it Jupiter 8 tho?
hehehehe he he hehe hehehehe he he he hehehe he he he and then another he he hehehe
Ngl this song is easy to play lol
You skipped the incredible marimba part on the DX7!
Seriously, who has this kind of hardware just sitting around their house? Tens of thousands of dollars' worth of retro synths, if not more than that? I can see if a studio would have this stuff, and most do not, but to personally own it is an astronomically expensive hobby.
Mediocre
Thanks for the input, Edgelard.
