I actually really like the attention to detail they put into the wealthy members robes.. Having white robes with a purple trim was common among the elite due to purple dye being so expensive. They reserved all purple robes with gold trim for emperors or like generals coming back after a conquest to wear during their celebration. The white with purple was called like the pratexia toga or something similar. Leave it to the Simpsons or Futurama to be historically accurate lol.
