  • In this video, I try out a different style of filming & editing. I'm trying to improve my skills as a content creator to hopefully put out higher quality and more engaging content. I finish up the wiring on my under glow lights and fail to install my passenger side fender as I got the wrong size fender...

Thank you! It’s unreal in the sunlight, so much metallic in it you have to see it in person!

I have a question I need to know where you went through the interior for your lights. Not the power and ground.

Interior lights I ran through the headliner and down the A pillar and behind the dash. Underglow front bumper I ran through the firewall gromet where the main power goes through, side skirt lights I drilled a hole on each side going up into the foot wells and sealed with glue and the rear bumper I followed the main power cable from the battery under the carpet/door trim.

What do you need help with? I wouldn’t say there is a proper way to do it really. I used zap straps that have the mount hole on them and you can self tap or better to rivet them into the underside of the car where you want to strap the light strips along the bumpers or under the rockers. I wouldn’t recommend using the self adhesive they come with as they will not last and fall off, you should hard mount them. After you have it all mounted you need to run the wires into the car nicely, either drill holes with grommets or bulk head fittings to run the wires into the car, or extend the wires and run them all through an existing firewall grommet. Once they are in the car you need to get them under the dash somewhere so you may need to run some through the headliner or some under the carpet or along the carpet trim. Once you have them all under the dash they can be wired to the controller if they have one for the wireless remote or app and wire this controller appropriately to a fused power source. If you want to run them to an aftermarket switch instead, make sure the power source for the switch is properly wired to a fused power source. Hopefully that helps, sometimes you just have to get creative with wire routing and it is a lot of work to do it “properly” by taking apart the interior trim to run the wires.

@Tenmill Garage I want them under the car. Only thing is my battery sits in the trunk. I have a 01 bmw 330ci.. everytime I install under glow theirs always cords under the car like they didn't make them long enough. I'm trying to avoid doing any wire cutting

@@officialyungtwizted3858 Most BMW batteries are in the trunk, mine is too. I ran my wiring up under my dash because I installed a small aftermarket fuse block where I can plug in multiple aftermarket accessory’s with their own fuses easily without tapping into the cars accessory wires. No car is designed to have more aftermarket electrical components installed so you do have to do some modifications, tap into existing wires or install your own separate accessories fuse block like I’ve done and I would recommend over tapping into other wires. If you don’t have a good understanding of 12v wiring then I honestly wouldn’t do this yourself until you learn how to wire things properly or have someone else that knows how 12v wiring works help you or do it for you. Any marine shop near you will have some accessory fuse blocks available, you need to run the proper size wiring from your battery to a fuse or breaker and then to your new fuse block, your new fuse block will have outputs that you can plug in various size fuses to whatever accessory you are trying to power safely. I highly recommend the BlueSeas Circuit Wizard app for calculating wire size and breaker/fuse sizes for your application. Once you have a fuse block installed you can easily use it as a power source for your under glow, interior led lights, gauges, stereo power etc…
