Description:
Being an NFL referee is a tough job. You’re only human and you’re going to make mistakes.
But NFL fans have a tough time cutting some slack for the zebras. Sadly, we can’t blame fans for being frustrated at times, because referees have made some of the worst calls at the worst possible times.
I’m DeQwan Young, and today we present the NFL's 10 Worst referee calls of all-time. And a big shoutout to LostSniper10 for suggesting this video!

Top 10 stupidest plays of all time
ASA Productions Yez !!
Tony Hernandez Colts vs Patriots with that idiot 3 man formation on offense.
ASA Productions Seahawks not running the ball
Butt fumble, dez dropped it, miracle at the meadow lands, Jim Marshal runs the wrong way, colts fake punt, packers drop the onside kick and let the Seahawks comeback, blair Walsh/ Gary Anderson, saints miss extra point after amazing rally, lett celebrates too early in the super bowl for a touchback, lett's thanksgiving day touchback, etc. I don't think you can compile the worst plays with just a top 10 list you'd need a top 15 at least.
Vincent James you forgot the not in front of running. Ur welcome
Top ten hail marys to win the game.
Derek Post aka top ten Aaron Rodgers throws
ok
its Aaron Rodgers
Brian Fell if you're gonna go brag about your QB, you might wanna know how to spell their name
Brian Fell alright you're good, sorry, and I'm a Dallas fan too!

SixxJr i wish but that ain't happening
You can't say no one knew about the tuck rule when in that same year it helped the jets beat the patriots as well as helped the raiders win a game.
ya they hate the patriots, they bash on them whenever they get the opportunity even when it doesn't make sense
Cold Winter they sound like ESPN and Barstool sports
Manuel Diaz, Jr. just a stupid rule to help the patriots win
Manuel Diaz, Jr. I still want to get revenge on the fuckin patriots
Ya, because the patriots knew that someday that rule would help them win a game..... You do realize right that a majority of the teams owners have to vote on a rule in order for it to become a rule. This means that once upon a time the tuck rule was voted into the game by a majority of the league.... The vikings lost in the NFC championship game against the saints about 5 years ago in overtime to a field goal. At the time the overtime rule was first team to score wins.... dumb rule.... by the next season the rule changed to the first team to score a touchdown wins. The point is sometimes rules get added or changed because of the outcomes of important games. You can't blame the team that got the favorable call for the favorable call.
Lions games could be half the list
Bo Underwood yup
Bo Underwood honestly the lions get screwed more then any other team
Bo Underwood including the playoff game vs the cowboys pass interference call
Nvm it's on here lol
Bo Underwood thank u! The refs hate us lions so much!
when the saints got screwed when they got the field goal blocked and the dude clearly stepped out of bound but they said since they both had white shoes they couldnt see it
Refs are bad
never forget
lighting mcqueen blew a 2 lap lead in the piston cup
Lol
What
Fuck lightning McQueen
🤣
😂
That's not a forward pass
yes it is
Nathan Kruckow its a lateral
It was so close to call. If you go watch the play you can clearly see that he leaned back and caught the ball. That's why it was ruled legit.
Jenko° bitch it is
Why does it matter?
So no Dallas vs packers 2015 divisional round playoffs when the refs screwed Dez
TreFKennedy fr
Alexescobarasfhkkk were you born on the highway? because that's where most of the accidents happen
He caught it even i say that this was bs and i hate the cowboys
Dez Bryant caught it. BUT THE CALL WAS RIGHT. It’s the rule that took away the catch. NOT the refs. And I am a Cowboys fan.
It deserved to be a catch, but the referees were right due to the rule being there. The same thing applies for the Tuck Rule.
+Dolphins Fan 427 L
The tuck rule is more of a bad rule than a bad referee mistake. The ref is just doing what he's supposed to do
Ugliest Guy True the rule says he called it right but common sense says otherwise
Ten worst Blatant penalties in the NFL not called by refs
GeorgeKush hits on Cam Newton last year could be half that list
2 from 2009 NFC Championship:
a. Saints player rips off a piece of the tight end's jersey during a catch
b. Highly illegal hit on Farve (which should have negated an interception)
music city miracle was the right call
Not even a forward pass.
Alex Chavez No, the player that threw the forward lateral clearly threw it from behind the 25-yard line, and the player who caught it was clearly ahead of the line. Therefore, it was a forward lateral
You have to look at the other angles, it was on the line of where the guy threw it.
if you look at the play the player he threw it to had his foot behind the line making it a legal lateral
The definition of a forward pass is based on the movement of the ball, and does not say anything about the player's feet, So it was a forward pass.
Top 10 Players who Un-Retired
Kuekly clearly holding Gronk in the end zone with seconds left in the game to force a interception
Top 10 Clutch Plays in NFL history

Everyone reading this I hope your day is going better than mine!!!
David Farmani i hope your year went better than that day
David Farmani probably not
The Music City Miracle was already confirmed to be a backwards pass. I think it was NFL Films that analyzed it.
And where's Broadway Vinny's phantom touchdown when only his HELMET broke the plane of the goal line? Not only did that cost Seattle a playoff spot, but it also led to Instant Replay coming back.
*Sees new TPS vid "oh awesome looks cool" *clicks play hears deqwan young "nope" *clicks out
10 defining moments for nfl backup QBs (formers starters dont count btw)
You do realize the tuck rule was legit, and it was used against the pats in that same season lol
Kitty Katz doesn't make the rule any less stupid
Kitty Katz Yeah agonist like hee said it was scrapped in 2013
Poz Gaming stupid yes, but also still a rule
Maybe but it helped the pats at the best moment for them but worst possible time for the raiders and btw Brady pump faked so it should have been a fumble
+Poz Gaming The rule was stupid. But the call wasn't
Honorable mention to the offside call of game 1 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals
in the falcons pats SB, atlanta got called for PI that was identical to the PI flag that was picked up during the cowboys lions game...
Dallas vs packers 2014-2015 catch called no catch
This list sucks. Most of them are him making claims but having no evidence to support them.
5:55 Thank you .You are the only person besides myself that saw Tate getting away with OPI
Deqwan look like the assistant principal who also coaches the football team
Tebow home run compilation
the Cowboys v packers, 2014 playoffs
"What NFL referee's mistake do you think was the worse ever?"
2013 NFC Championship.. the entire game.
The 2017 wild card when the Tennesse Titans had head to head contact with a Kansas City Cheifs guy and they didn't call helmet to helmet.
Dez's catch????
Dude, he didn't catch it.
aman k according to the rules it wasn't a catch but basic logic says it was, the rules need a lil tweaking
Samantha Bentz It was, and quit calling people idiots cause it makes your argument look weak
Samantha Bentz but according to the rules now, it is a catch
aman k Not a catch
Who else is salty that there team is on here for a missed call by the referees
King Shadow Falcons
Two actually
Sa Francis vs Seattle in the play offs a few years back where one of the defenders for SF broke his knee and intercepted the ball but they ruled it incomplete
The one in my youth football game when The other team tackled our whole defense and when we where getting back on our feet they pushed us down so they got a touchdown with no flags
Number 5 was NOT a forward pass. If you did your job and knew the rules of the game you would see the QB lateraled it on 25 yard line and other players foot was on the 25 yard line when he caught it. That is a legal lateral pass.
Steven Lahlou that wasn't an offensive play. It was on a kick return
Steven Lahlou dis boi don't know football
it was to a forward pass it is not where your feet are it is where the ball is learn football
The ball was tossed on the 25 and caught on the 25. Thats a legal play.
I know I was shaking my head when #5 came up. That was a GOOD call, in no way shape or form was that a BAD one.

Samantha Bentz i sure knoe Odell didnt catch it
Braydon Blanton lmao 😂 you spelled know "knoe" what have you learned in school?
No
Yup, so did Jesse James REFS LOVE PATS AND PACKERS
the music city miracle was a great play and the correct call
King David it was a forward pass
Hawkeye 03 no it wasn't
Finally someone understands the Music City Miracle was a forward pass.
When the ball is in the air anybody can make the catch the "immaculate reception" deserved to count and will forever live on as one of the greatest plays in steelers history!
WOW SUPER BOWL 40 OMG THE SEATTLE SHOULD OF WON THAT GAME LIKE THIS IF YOU AGREE (SEATTLE SEAHAWKS FAN)
Top ten players to ever play for the lakers or Yankees
No
Do a video about the best college football duos who went to the same team and made an even better duo
Weirdest ways NBA players got kicked out of the game
Time to update that list. Rams vs Saints, NFC Championship game,no call PI, assuring the Rams do not lose at that point in the game
whats the back ground music called
i'm still confused about number 8 like what was it all about? like did one of them said tails and the ref thought he said heads and then the lions trick them, or was it that the coin almost hit the refs foot and they thought they cheated, can people tell me what that was all about? it's been 5 years right now and i'm still confused about that even my brain hurts right now from thinking about it, and i don't understand what the man was talking about.
10 Championship Series where one team BLEW a 3-1 lead
The coin toss one was definitely the worst cuz that's the only one that no doubt couldn't have been questioned
craziest sports commentary reactions
They should check all the angles for the music city miracle. One of them shows a clear lateral.
The fail marry is the worst call in NFL history. No question. I will never forget it.
Look into Santonio Holmes’ catch in the super bowl against the cardinals. He only got 1 foot down. The 2nd was pressed against the other 1 inch or so off the turf.
And if we had power to make a MANDATORY playoff game replay , that Raiders vs Patriots 2001 minus that f***ing tuck rule.
Do a video on top 10 best throws that weren't caught
Music City was a Lateral!! Make a video about that TPS
Top 10 crazy playoff finishes
Which is the most popular Kevin Dyson play? 1 yard short or Music City Miracle?
MCM, one yard short was more popular for the guy that made the tackle
The third call you pointed out in super bowl 40 was holding. The problem with the call is that whoever was being held jumped off sidrs
Celerity on the cowboys lions call, they actually called Penalty on face guarding which is a penalty in NCAA and I believe used to be in NFL, they realized it wasn't a penalty and picked up the flag. They ever called one for defense pass interference.
You just triggered the whole Steelernation
What about the Dez Catch in the 2014 NFL season?? It was a catch but not a touchdown. And they obviously didn't count it as a catch
Calvin Johnson's go ahead TD vs the Bears called incomplete
Do top 20 athletes who's careers were ruined by injuries
Why is the music city miracle on this list? So you are saying that the correct call is on a worst call list?
TPS made this video on my birthday ;)
Do you top 10 players that looked to be draft bust but became superstars
Bettis admitted later on to having said "Hea-tails,"
Also #5 on the replays they determined that it was lateral pass since the ball didn't go forward. If you watch closely, the ball travels along the yard line.
in the 2016 season when the Saints when against the Broncos. the refs said that it was a touchdown when his foot was clearly out of bounds
Umm, the Tennessee Titans in the music City miracle, you said it was a forward pass... Which it was, but I'm wondering how that could have been a penalty because the qb was in the box, and I've never heard of a rule in the NFL where the qb could only make reverse laterals from the box...
Vinny Testaverde and the Jets back in 98 when his helmet was in the end zone and not the ball. Should at least get honorable mention on this list.
No "you've been bought!"? That was an entire game's worth of non-calls. Maybe a Top 10 game/season altering calls that weren't made feature?
I forgot that! A Jerry Rice fumble = No Terrell Owens redemption
Im shocked the Dez catch isn't on the list
you forgot Dez supposedly non catch divisional finals against the packers
Do mlb bad referee calls it would be an hour long video😂
Do the top 10 baseball announcers
The entire week 13 game on Sunday saints v panthers where they missed like 6 calls
the best NFL quaterback each NFL team has ever had.
Nothing's worse than Bert Emanuel's "incomplete" pass.
10 most heated Umpire and Coach arguments in baseball history
Bettis said "Head, Tails"
Seattle vs San Francisco NYC Championships. Running into the kicker when the Seattle player obviously hit the plant leg making it roughing the kicker. The 49ers would have gotten the 1st down to keep the drive alive, but instead had to punt again.
Every single Call against the buffalo bills when they're playing the patriots
Can't believe you forgot the Dez Bryant catch. Come on man...
Resetting the play clock so the Patriots could win. In the 2015 Giants versus Patriots game, if you watch the final minutes, you can see it happen. The Patriots are lining up for a very long game winning field goal as the play clock dips below 10 seconds. Once the play clock gets too low, and the Patriots aren't lined up, it's easy to see that they are going to get pushed out of field-goal range with a delay-of-game penalty. Suddenly with 6 seconds left, the placeholder make some kind of hand motion, and the game clock resets to 40 seconds. The Patriots have plenty of time to line up, they kick the field goal, and win the game. Most would call that cheating, but we all know that the Patriots would NEVER stoop that low.
what about this year when the Broncos player clearly stepped out of bounds on a return against the Saints but it was upheld
What about when Vinny Testaverde didn't cross the goal line against Seattle in 1998 and still got the touchdown.
Re the music city miracle, it is unclear whether the pass was forward, given the camera angle. The thrower's ball-throwing hand (but not his feet and body) looks to be on, or slightly past the yard line, when he throws the ball. The receiver's hands, when he catches the ball, are slightly past that same yard line. The lateral, therefore, was not "clearly" forward.
the music city miracle is a legal lateral. when you look at it, dude was behind the line obviously, which is what made it look like a forward lateral. But he through it side armed across the line, lined up with the man that caught it. it didn't go forward or backward, so it's legal
Jessie James had a caught touchdown pass but ruled incomplete in week 15 and ended the Steelers season
The season ended when they lost to the Jaguars in the playoffs that same year
I agree with all of these except #5. NFL Films did a pretty big study on it and it was confirmed a backward pass, The angle you used kinda tricks your eyes.
Last two times the Cowboys and Packers met in the Playoffs. Both against the Cowboys who should have won both games, or at least have had things play out differently.
do top ten dumbest decision made by Roger Goodell
Chiefs vs Steelers 2016 playoff game... holding call on the Chiefs when the defender was clearly falling on his own...
What about week 17 cleveland vs pittsburgh where they called facemask on mitchell instead of cleveland receiver
