Thank you for the explanation. I knew that part of the reason for burial is because of the resurrection of the dead at the end of time as we know it. This explanation clarifies how sacred the body is.
I am not Jewish, but I do follow the Tanakh (to the best of translation) as my guide. I do assume this burial commandment pertains to us just as much as Jewish, am I correct?
To my understanding if you're not Jewish, it doesn't effect you. There was a time when Catholics/ Protestants didn't allow cremation. They do now. Only 20% of Jews are observant so it's not unusual to see cremation among Jews. Does this mean only Jews and Gentiles who are buried will be resurrected? I don't think so bc that would limit G-d.

The issue is, not everyone realizes that they are Jewish. The lost tribes are amongst us.
Throughout the many exiles, wars, many changed their names and migrated throughout the nations, and lost their tribal identity.
The day will come when we will be identified as either Jew or gentile.
One thing is for sure, we are all descendants of Noah.
Thank you Rabbi for speaking on this,I have always believed this way deep within.I hope others will hear this.🙏sis
