Yep...I feel this on a personal level. Daily on social media people seem to think they know just as much or more than I do even though I teach martial arts for a living and have been at it hardcore for 30 years. The level of ignorance in the comments on Instagram and facebook is astonishing.
Spoken like a true narcissist (LOL). You may be right when debating about this and many other things you studied but true "wisdom" comes from not just knowledge but decades of experience coupled with it. Try to stay humble young warrior friend as time will bring humility and a softening of the heart.
Experience in a Craft and in an Art shall not be measured in years - but better in hours! Wisdom is, to not measure experience in Length - but in Width, and even moreso in depth! Too many people think that they know better, just because they stand closer to the grave. A professional trains more in a single year than many others inna decade. He makes experiences, that a hobbyist will never make in his entire life. If facts offend you - you shall be offended.
@@PeterMettlerMartialArts Not offended at all, comment was just some playful feed back. I was talking more about "life" in general, not just M.A.. Sometimes when folks are so focus and superior at a particular skill they take it as if they got the whole world figured out as well. Just suggesting you keep a bit humble, their will come a time when you'll know what I'm talking about. *62 and getting closer to the grave, lol, good one! Picked me out, 40 year M.A. "hobbyist", you nailed it! Thanks for your response!
