You are fantastic brother! Thank you for sharing your hard work with us! I’m a chef with a restaurant and catering company and decided to sell the restaurant and expand the catering with a food truck. Finally done with new engine and everything mechanical. I like you had many coats of paint and just got done soda blasting the whole rig. Lots and lots to do. I’m going with gun metal grey. Anyways, love tour visa and will be waiting for vid 6 of this build. 🙏
This is great news, can you take pics or short videos and when you are done, post it on here so we all can check it out. Kinda like a begging to end video! Aye bro, I really appreciate you making these videos. I'm looking into starting a truck and I will definitely be using a lot of your techniques. I will suggest that you just get the truck wrapped in a vinyl picture/logo. It wouldn't cost much and it will make the truck even sharper. Amazing job by the way.
Yes my Friend I will keep that in mind. I really hope you do start a truck. There is so much money to make, I know, we did it. In just only 6 weekends during a summer we made $14,000. Thanks for the comment and keep in touch :)
I painted mine with a roller and rattle cans. Rust Oleum all the way baby. Very sharp.
Nice job!
You r an inspiration to me dear
This is great news to hear and I hope that you begin your project soon and keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. I will have more videos very soon on the Food Truck. THE SEAMSTER
I just read a comment about a vinyl wrap on trucks. I do agree with the poster that it makes a HUGE difference in sales. I have come up with a "wrap" that costs about $300.00, instead of 1000s. It looks great, lasts for years...and is cheap.
wonnieweban That is awesome. You must post a video on how to and I will try it! This business is fun!! Stay tuned in for more videos soon. The SEAMSTER
@@TheSeamster I plan on making a video, as soon as I can, but it will probably be a month, or two before I can get to it. We are taking a road trip from Los Angeles to Alpena for about 3 weeks...and then I have 3 surgeries...so I will be down for a while. I don't know enough about Facebook to contact you privately. I can send you pictures of the "wrap", and give you all the details and contacts. I beleive this will be right up your alley.

I commend you for putting together a truck, though you could have made your windows far easier by buying a concession window that are designed for food trucks and trailers. But thanks for the showing of how your built this truck, it will come in handy as I will be building my own 2nd and 3rd trucks.
Yes they are very very expensive, I try to show everyone how to save money with a little or a lot of work. Thanks
I would do a food truck that will allow me to make dim sum.
Great job!
Thank You my friend for the comment. Part 5 is in the works. We will show all and when we make $$$

Lord God Amen Ra Gracias Mi Amigo :)
Hey Seamster. You are doing a great job. Keep going.
Just one electrical thing I haven't seen yet, which is the power source. Are you using a generator? If yes, what type? How did u hook up the pannel from it? Ho w did calculate your loads?
Ok, my son will be using a 10,000 Watt generator. From our past FOOD TRAILER. A 20amp breaker will normally hold about 2000watts per outlet. That my friend is a lot of power. So a 220 Watt outlet on a 10,000 Watt generator has 2 legs of power, Black Wire, Red Wire. One leg will power 5000 Watts and the other leg will power 5000 Watts. Every appliance shows how much Watts it uses. So you must know where each appliance is going before you build. This sound confusing but it is easy. My normal rule is 1650 watts per outlet and that leaves me with 3 outlets on one side and 3 on the other side using a 10,000 Watt 220amp generator with a 50 ft power cord to the truck. The generator will be loud. Or you can use the same 50ft power cord and plug into a 220 power outlet and the same applies for each 20amp breaker and outlet. Hope this helped. If not ask me another question and I will try to answer :)
hey bro..... Nice video.... Glad u painted the truck.... That pink was ugly.....cant wait to u do another video
Yes, my son agrees with you. I will have a new one in the next few hours. Thanks for the comment my friend and stay tuned in for more videos :)
Awesome video , just bought a Chevy p30 looking forward to turn into a money maker.
Yes, you can do it. Keep me updated on your progress. Thanks for the comment my friend :)
The Seamster I’ll keep in touch Your videos are just in time for my project . Quick question for your electrical power are you just gonna run direct from a generator?
Yes, a 10,000 watt gas generator. We will have a lot of needed power. But, I can also use 220 hook up. I will explain in future video. Thanks for the comment my friend :)
The Seamster Thanks!
@@angel94601 No Problem, I really want you to do well in your future my friend :)
Coming out nice. And you say 60 degrees and raining every other 2 days. That sounds like heaven😀 I haven't made any videos can't work on my food truck. Past month and half over 102 degrees straight no rain. Too hott to work on truck. You read my mind about saveing metal window cut out. 👍 Over here in Texas like standing in oven. Stay cool my friend.
Franco, that us HOT! Seems we both have weather issues. Yes, I am working on window covers now. Thanks for the comment my friend :)
What’s up man I’m considering making a food trailer any tips getting started ? And on average how much do you think it would cost to build a small one like a rough estimate
The tip I can give is, if you have the tools to build a food truck or trailer, do it. Everything depends on what FOOD you are going to serve. Simple is good and smaller is better when 1st starting out. The one thing humans will always do, is eat and drink. I would build a truck over a trailer, due to you can easily get in and drive away. Deals are out there on used older trucks $1500. Maybe another $3000 would get you started with simple FOOD. Stay tuned for Part 5 when I go over appliances and costs. Thanks for the comment my friend :)
ugggg , omg house paint? talk about cutting corners . lol again thanks for the video.
🙂 Thank you
I was actually thinking about making a U-shaped concert in the truck covering the back door is that something that can be done or is it does it go against any guidelines covering the back door???
Some states require an exit and windows don't count. Depends on if deep fryer or combustible are at the rear or up front blocking an exit if there is a fire.
Not telling ya how do things but try using a pc of masking tape to get the fuzzies out of your paint. Do it when it’s wet. Looking good !
You are RIGHT! Seems a lot of information I learned when I was younger gets forgotten in the heat of the moment. Thanks for the tip and Part 5 FRP installation is being put together now.
Hope your painting it anything but pink. Lol
Hi. Great video. I just bought a Chevy G-30. Just something small at a good price. I was wandering if I really need a fire suppression system? I have a deep fryer going in. And what's your opinion on stainless steel? What's the alternative to it? I'm in Georgia. Thank you for your input. One last thing, can I extend the back of the truck about 4 foot? It would be to hold the propane tank and generator.
Ok, each state has it's own fire safety laws. In Michigan you only need a ABC and K extinguisher. Call you Health Dept or Sanitation Inspector. I am using FRP as you seen on my part 5 video. But stainless will be placed on top of the FRP where the single 40# deep fryer is going. I am going 2.5 ft extended bumper as you will see a sneak peek in my part 6 video. You will have to move your brake lights and plate. I never seen 4ft, 3ft is normal amount. The G30 is a great compact truck and you can do a lot of you use your space wisely. Please take pics and vids and post so we all can check it out on your ytube. Let me know how it goes and keep in touch.
@@TheSeamster thank you very much for the information. I will be in touch with you as I begin the process. Right now I'm just going through the truck and getting the exterior ready. I purchased a deep fryer, and will check on State regulations for the fire suppression system.
Steve, you can do it!!!
Awesome vids! Hey is that a grinding disc or a cut off disk?
Bill it is a cut off disk and I went through so many building this truck, especially the rear extended bumper. Thanks for the comment and stay tuned for more Food Truck videos to come in the future. THE SEAMSTER
Hey Seamster you responded..thats awesome. I went thru a lot of cutoff discs as well on my truck. But they cut steels and aluminum. I'm almost open for business and I realized 4 months ago that I should've video recorded my entire build. I'd have at least 20 vids. I did a lot of chassis work as well. Leaf springs, shock mounts, fuel tank, ball joints etc. The list goes on. Its been fun but would have been funner had I had someone to do it with. Did the ENTIRE build solo. You have perfect vids. Personal, detailed, and very informative. I couldn't find anything like this in the past 2 years it took me to build mine (that's due to poverty). Saw for first time 1/25/2020.
Extended bumper!?!! I so gotta have one.
@@willstollfuss9068 I searched also for videos and there were none! I just figured I will do the best that I can and make my own. It is never to late to start and get people to follow and watch you. I also bought a 250 amp fuse panel box is that a little much?
Also how are you going to keep the refrigerator's running during travel are you using an inverter with a battery Bank?
A 250 is ok, you won't use it all, but it's good to have more power if you are using a cotton candy machine or electric deep fryers. I will have a inverter that I will show in future videos.
It's pretty much just going to be a snow cone truck no deep fryers no griddles no need for fire suppression some of the rules and regulations are very vague so I Turn to You
@@RH-qk5od Will you having Slushie Machines?? Just so you know, we made a lot of money with our Triple Slushie Machine. But that uses 1500 Watts of power. So one outlet was dedicated to that. Ok, I would not block off the rear door. Our Trailer was like what you are wanting to do. I have seen others do as you want to do in the past. I am not doing this, because I believe it has changed to no blocking emergency exits. Call your local County Sanitation Inspector. I would not do it and that is why I suggest no roll up door and stick with the double doors on the rear. I did not get your number.
Seamster how's it going man? I bought 14 2 gauge wire for the electricity do I have to put the wire into conduit or can I just use the wire as it is?
I bought 14 two gauge wire can I install it without putting it in metal conduit or is the conduit a must?
the frame on that truck is super crusty. please needle scale it and use chassis saver on it before it rots out.

I live in Michigan and was wondering if you would custom build my food trailer?
Sorry I am so busy and building a house. The SEAMSTER
Did you lightly sand the truck first or did you just paint it white on the original color
Just painted right over the old and still on with no peeling.
I've been curious about this series but now I'm at an impass... Can seem to get unpaused at 0:20

Do you have the link to the exact window? The large one, I really want to get the same exact one.
My Friend, it is at home depot or Lowe's. It is a standard aluminum storm window with screen.
@@andrewmasty5037 thanks, I guess I can't tell them it's for a food truck, they kept telling me I can't put those kind of windows in a truck it's meant for a house. I was like it's a window as long as I have a frame and install it correctly what's the problem, so in the end I second guessed myself. Thanks
@@THEGREEDYCOUPLE wow! That's not cool at all. That is forcing people to buy high priced windows because someone calls it a concession window online.

Approximately $500 to $800 and you supply all the materials.
@@TheSeamster thank you

I would easily start on FB Marketplace or craigslist for a P30 or something that has double doors on the back. The SEAMSTER
The Seamster thank you 🙏
Oh and type in Food Truck or Panel Truck or Box Truck in the search bar.
The Seamster lol your talented af to be able to build a food truck from scratch how much did everything in general cost all the equipment ?
Lamborghini Rosa Under 10,000 for everything to start a large fully equipped truck. The SEAMSTER
What is the bottom dollar 💵 to do a book a build-out for this food truck
Number 1 is finding a truck first. The materials cost has changed dramatically over the past year higher. Also the cost of appliances varies on Fb marketplace or Craiglist. Once everything is gathered up ready to go is when the build begins.
Where did you order your water tanks from?
Steve Levesque EBay for everything. Please watch end of videos for detail list. Much more videos to come. The SEAMSTER

Imtheseamster@gmail.com Yes lets check it out, but tell me what you want to do exactly inside of it and do you want to go stainless steel or FRP Board on the walls and counter?
I like the look of stainless steel on the walls and back splash but as I'm watching your build I'm looking at the FRP as an option.
What's funny is That alarm do automotive upholstery and also dabble in everything
@@78abmoreno yes, I went with FRP cuz of cost low for my son. If had more $$ would be stainless for sure.

Hi sr u think can i make food truck with the rv i buy 1997 coach mirada rv 30 ft long
Sure but contact health department first
why not use windows built for an rv? or something that is more of an automotive sertup?
You can use any window you want to use. RV windows are very expensive and these windows are not. This is for the average person to build, if you are rich you would buy the most expensive.
Vertigo sucks man I have that
Wouldn't it have been better to paint it before you install your new windows?
Yes, but if you recall in all my videos, we are always battling the weather and rain/cold. So we had to do what we could with the weather that was given to us each day. We finally got to paint when it warmed up, but rain was always in the forecast each and every other day for some reason this year. THE SEAMSTER :)
Good morning, I noticed that in most of these videos people are using different metal on their food trucks. Is that aluminum siding better than stainless on the exterior?
Yes it is much lighter and easy to work with when drilling or fasting screws into the walls and floors. The SEAMSTER
Was the window tempered glass
No it is not, but the good thing is that the Storm Window Original Glass can be replaced easily. But you don't have to do all that, you can easily put a very light tint on the window and that will be a quick solution to being Tempered Glass. Thanks for the comment my Friend :) I will make a video in the future on TINTING FOOD TRUCK WINDOWS.
@@TheSeamster ok thanks I'm just starting build my food truck all your post are very helpful framing was getting me nervous because thought I had to do it with metal tubing but seen u do it with wood so it's very easy with that because I'm not a welder
@@felixdiaz7841 Yes, there will be no welding. The 2x4 construction will work great. Remember, its wood so if you make a mistake.
