A poucos dias descobri que São José Maria Escrivá tinha um pupilo que surfava Mundaka. Esse pupilo morreu afogado durante um surf em San Sebastian.

I was there in 74, Franco was still alive and in power and ruled the Basques with an iron fist. The tension and fear of the locals was palpable. Even of greater concern was the shitty boards of the day that had trouble making the sections, but the hash was dam fine.

Law enforcement in Spain during the Franco era were only interested in keeping the Basque separatist movement suppressed, hash was cheap and plentiful.

Muchas olas y poca gente sobre cincuenta las series venían cada 10 minutos con siete olas que barrían a todos los que no estaban atentos y sobre todo gente competente en el agua que no necesita saltar para coger una ola. 🤗
