- I made a self-portrait everyday for five months and it was a wild ride. In this complete sketchbook tour I take you along as I reflect on how this challenge that was first initiated by french illustrator extraordinaire Magali Cazo changed my perspective, how it affected me... I really agree with what you said at 11:14! I've only started regularly drawing self portraits in the last few months because I have a horrible self image and I wanted to see if drawing myself in a really objective way would help, and I think it has. Removing the emotion I feel when I look at myself and just seeing myself as lines and shapes has definitely changed the way I look at myself. I love all your drawings and all the different ways you approached them!
ohh I love this!! it's so difficult to see oneself as just lines and shapes... but selfportraits are a great exercise!!
