I really appreciate your words here. The reminders to take care of yourself physically and treat league like “the cherry on top” is genuinely great advice in general.

Mental/physical health is just the #1 most important thing before anything else. I've sadly had to set aside multiple things due to the heavy toll the pandemic took on both of those for me, but it's allowed me to focus on getting back to a state where I once again can feel good about myself.
Having played many competitive games through periods of both good and bad personal health, I can safely say that the rate of improvement and enjoyment you get is at least an order of magnitude higher if you take care of yourself first.
I was in the SoS for a few months but I had to drop out due to attempting to get back into a competitive environment too fast and becoming overwhelmed with life again.
I'm really hoping to get to a point where I'm stable in my own life so I can get back into League and the SoS for the long-run as I've been playing this game since 2011 and I love the depth of mastery it provides. I'm thinking it'll be a while though... Lots more to work on in my life first, but I'll be supporting the SoS from the side-lines until I'm ready.
All that to say I agree with your video and thank you for the great content! I actually believe the out of game stuff should almost be mentioned first though, but that's probably personal bias due to hardship I've faced.

Thanks so much for this video. I'm TWO games away from the next tier (emerald) and I'm struggling to not focus on the LP.

4:08 Although this isn't 100% certain, this is a potential symptom of ADHD. The hyperfixation on a single hobby and then losing all interest in it in favor of pursuing another one within a week or two.

Hey Cupcake, I'm planning to swap from adc to support this year, in part because I want to be a part of your community. I was just wondering when you think might be the best time for me to do that. I'm finishing season 13 in Gold II as an adc main. Do you think I should wait to join for a few months, or do you think that starting the new season in the school is okay?

There are no expectations for experience or rank in SoS. Joining at the start of your support journey can go a long way for putting you on the right track :) looking forward to working with you

Ive hit master with zyra yay (248games, 56%wr), and im trying to switch to engage support in flex (rakan, rell), waiting on next ladder reset. But I just keep losing and feel like I can't do anything or carry, this makes me feel a bit depressed and makes me want to quit league lol. Theres probably something I dont understand yet and it is normal. But league is a weird game. I just need to push until it clicks and then it will make me such a better player and will shine. Keep going my friends ! It is all about having good mental

Just take your time and try enjoy the process maybe. I find it funny because it's the opposite for me, I play a lot of engage champs and got to plat 2 with it, and I always wanted to play Zyra since she does pretty well in that elo but I just can't figure her out and end up dying too much, doing no damage, etc. Do you have some tips on playing her?

@@ivanka7105 Try placing seeds on the ground so you are never at 2stacks (unless u want to e+flash+ double ww). I usually max e>w>q so i can proc e+r knockup. But if I am against poking champs I'll go q>w>e. Otherwise play off level 2, Don't be scared to e+flash+ww+ignite, even if it doesnt kill, it assert a smooth sailing level 2-3-4. If i have prio bot I always look to help for drake and if jungle is coming but not there yet, i sit in pit to stack passives. I try to roam for herald too. Around 20min u can sit 30sec in baron pit and duo it real fast with jungle. Zyra is all about countering engages or flanking with full e+r. Use plants to guard you while u break wards or when you roam to not get screwed by someone camping a bush. Thats about it id say :) If you have questions i can answer
