Some of the new cars have engines block heaters that keeps the oil warm. Some of the check engine lights is from the security systems when you start the car. The other check engine lights are from aftermarket seats that don't have same wiring like seat warmers, automatic adjustment or anything electronic.

Sometimes when you straight pipe a car, you get the check engine light because it sometimes cause sludge in the engine because oil rapidly cools bevause of no catalytic converter that keeps a back pressure in the engine that also keeps the engine warm so it keeps the oil temperature consistent for a warm liquid for in the engine for cooling.

That’s actually how it works when it’s broken or when the contact between the two is broken it will activate the alarm when it’s armed. So breaking it before breaking in will ensure the alarm goes off before you even break in😂
