I had mine since 2017. I love mine and it's the best titanium watch with so much value/ detail for $1,000. There are many watches that don't look or feel this great for that price even the sinn 556 doesn't beat this watch.

I own the same watch and absolutely love it. I purchased mine in tokyo, march 2023. To my understanding it is sold out everywhere in brand new condition. Please do an updated video of your thoughts of this beautiful watch. Would love to see that.

Man I love this watch. Really considering flipping my alpinist for this. Do you think titanium is good enough as a daily driver? Some says it is not because the softer titanium.
I think so as long as you aren’t going to batter it on a daily basis, then you should be good!

Hello! There actually isn’t a US version of this, it was only made for the Japanese market, so keep that in mind when you buy, it won’t be covered under any kind of warranty.
There is/was the SJE073 but that’s a different watch entirely (6L movement, thinner case, and twice the price).
The only thing I’d say beyond what’s in the video is to know the laws governing taxes in your state. Because it’s over $800 USD, some states will charge you duties upon collection/delivery.
And yes he does! He was partially how I got into Omegas. :)

SARY041 I believe… it’s long been discontinued but was a tremendous little bargain basement Seiko with the 4R movement priced around $200 equivalent at the time. I’ve got a video on it from a loooong time ago at the beginning of my CZcams days.

I believe I paid between $900 and $1,000 USD when I got it in 2018 or 2019.

Can do! Until then, I still absolutely love it and everything I said still holds true. It’s an incredibly special watch, though I will say that my Presage GMT that just came out this year would rival it for attention and wrist time!
Wish they had not put presage on the dial. I prefer the sdgm001 and 003. The diashield didnt stand up to the abuse from the bracelets then...
Nope, Diashield doesn’t seem to be particularly effective on titanium, it is more so on my stainless steel pieces, but even then I think it only protects against light abrasion.
Maybe a Grand Seiko Snowflake next?
Have absolutely considered it many times. A Spring Drive piece of some kind is definitely in my future.

This or sharpe edge in white?
I personally feel like the sharp edge collection looks cheap, but that’s a personal preference thing. A potential upside to the sharp edge is that it will be stainless steel versus this which is titanium. Some people feel that titanium feels cheap because of how lightweight it is. Stainless steel has more heft.

Nope just daily wear but it’s a result of this being a (relatively) cheap watch and my treating it as such combined with titanium being a much softer metal than SS.
Beautiful watch with a poor movement. 3Hz looks so cheap and ruin otherwise perfect time piece. At this price point 4Hz movement is a must.
