Sea Fishing For Plaice - Hythe Beach Fishing!

- In today's video, I went sea fishing for plaice from the shore at Hythe. I have to say, Hythe beach fishing was a lot of fun it was a great spot for some quality UK sea fishing. Thanks to Jed who is a subscriber for the suggestion. It seemed my fishing setup worked well and the beach fishing tips were a success!!
I think patience is one of the key things when learning how to target plaice. As we all know, shore fishing is a waiting game and catching plaice isn't always so easy. Luckily for us, the sea was calm with an overcast sky and good visibility in the water. We fished over an area of sand about 60 metres out, so well within casting distance.
Catching plaice is definitely an art form however the fishing rigs we used seemed to work and all the conditions were looking good for a few hours fishing the tide up.

Hi fellow how I do sometimes wish the stories of life didn’t happen and I had a smoother existence and how one person can have a thrall over a household. But we all get old and my wife’s mother is fortunate indeed that we look after her. Without fishing I think I would go slowly bonkers although I think I am half way there. No mate it was deffo a Plaice....Very pronounced red spots!

Makes it worse when lots of anglers together and yep could have been a dab although red spots on fins as got photo for the thumbnail but should have brought closer to camera as does look dabbish on the video. Although as one subscriber said I would not have got much of a meal from it and the mackerel was a proper meal and therefore the mackerel won hands down take care and happy fishing cheers Paul 👍👍🍺🍺🐠

@@SeaFishingWithPaul Hi Paul. Just back from 5 hrs on Widewater beach without a bite ! You may want to rig the poll in favour of Dungeness!! It was flat calm and clear, which it won't be on Saturday, if he forecast is correct. Good luck wherever you end up. Drinking beer seems the best option.

Funny you mention that you might move to Easington and Hull area lots of fishing videos on CZcams from that area seem quite a good area for fishing and different species but not as clean as southern water
Hi Tom, yes there are one or two CZcams videos from around that area. I chose that area as a location because I know the area from my military days and was in York and trained all around the Humber both on it, in it 😂 and on the marshes and mud banks. Hi Eddie I wish I had caught two fish but with my angling skill was happy with one.😂 Shoreham Saturday looking grim weather wise so going Sunday and getting down there early before daylight and depending on how it fishes may well fish into darkness. Hi Princess Mandu we do eat sashimi over here although not as much as Koreans. I like it particularly mackerel a very oily fish related to tuna. I also eat kimchi which my wife loves. Take care 👍👍🐠🐠
