- If you're looking for an easy tutorial on how to install grommets in curtains, this is the video for you. We stayed away from using grommets in our curtains for the longest time because it seemed so complicated. However, it's actually pretty easy.
In this video, we show you how to turn any curtains into grommet curtains with just a few tools and an afternoon.

Just the video I was looking for! Now to get busy! TFS! đ
Weâre so glad this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
Fun video as always. It is so enjoyable watching the two of you have so much fun! BTW... Cricuts come in handy for everything!!!
Oh thank you!! Weâre glad the fun we have together translates to the screen. đ And yes - Cricuts are so handy!!
Fun. I look forward to seeing your videos.
Thank you! Weâre so glad youâre here. đ
This was very informative!
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it. đ
Thank you very much.
You are welcome!
Nice hoodie! Is the cricut capable of cutting the circles in the curtain? đ€
Thanks! The Cricut Maker *can* cut fabric; however, youâre limited by the size of the mats. The curtains are way to big to fit on even the largest mat (which is 12âx24â).
great video but one suggestion - turn the music volume down. It was very hard to focus on the directions. Thanks
Hey! Thanks for watching and for the suggestion. We do try to be mindful of the music volume and are sorry to hear that we missed the mark here.
Someone got some new sweet swag! #MOZHC very easy install!
Gotta represent! #mozhc Thanks for watching! đ
This is so awesome! Thank you! Now for a dumb question, is cardstock the same as posterboard? đ€
Hey and thanks! So glad you like it. Posterboard is going to be thicker than most typical card stocks, but really, we were just using what we had on hand. Card stock would probably work fine.
@@JustMightDIY You guys are too much! đ€© Was not expecting a response from anyone, least of all you guys! Thanx heaps & keep up the wonderful work you both do đ
Thanks. I'm doing grommet curtains again today, after I swore I'd never do them again. You make it look easy, but your fabric looks unlined and light weight. If the fabric is for drapes, it's going to be bulky, preventing the grommets from snapping together. I fiddled with them for a long time, and my wrists hurt from the pressure. I decided to use them today because I had them. But I'm done with the worst tool ever for home sewing.
Oh wow! The first set we did was on heavier, lined fabric, and we didnât have any issues snapping them together. So sorry to hear that wasnât the case for you!
@@JustMightDIY I'm sorry to be negative. Maybe yours were a different or improved version. My fabric was nubby and lined, and snapping them together was difficult. I've put them into 4 other draperies/valances over the years, and I'm just not wild about the precision I need. If I cut the hole slightly too big, I end up with the frayed edges sticking out around the edges. Anyway, I'm done, they look great. But I eye them suspiciously every time I walk by!
Makes sense! We allllll have projects that either we didnât love doing or donât love how they turned out. We definitely have a few, too!
I loved your video on installing grommets, and am happy it is so easy to do! I will definitely give this a try! Thank you!
Meanwhile, I could without the loud, distracting music competing with your discussion.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! Weâll be mindful of the volume in the future!
Why the cricut lesson? Are you selling them? Sort of a spammy thing to when the title was about grommets
First, thanks for watching.
Second, to answer your question, no weâre not âsellingâ Cricut here. It was a great tool to use to make a precise template, and that template was genuinely helpful for us. Many of our regular viewers already have a cutting machine like a Cricut, so we thought the technique would be helpful for them, too.
We hope you found value in the tutorial otherwise.
