So obvi with the blender hack, it's less weighted without the full pitcher, so keep a hand on it. And with fewer ingredients and a smaller jar, you don't have to have it on the highest setting. A medium-low blend worked on mine! Test yours with a little water first to see how it goes and find the perfect speed.

I know I feel so inadequate and want so bad to get back to my old organized self. Having acquired some painful and disabling conditions and that making my depression worse, makes it hard to tackle things. My house is a reflection of how I feel I guess. I think others feel this way too. I did a great job when my kids were young. I feel guilty now that everyone is grown and gone and it’s just me, so it shouldn’t be hard!

And a big thank you Kathryn for sharing the "social media isn't real" as I just watched a Dove advert about kids who suffer mental health issues because of social media - eye opening. Here's a tip for keeping the box lids on your box games: get the small round velcro or hook & loop tape dots and stick them to the inside of the lids/box for when you are done playing, all the pieces won't fall out. Use on all four sides or just two opposing sides. 😁
I love how you actually use your DT projects. Many CZcamsrs do DT projects but have overly expensive things in their house with none of their DT projects in sight lol.
Thank u for the reminder of giving ourselves grace in this instagram perfect world. Years I almost collapsed trying to B perfect.The most imperfect crazy memories R the most precious. My washer broke when my boys were small I put them in the tub gave them 2 new plungers from the dollar store. They had a blast beating the clothes I got clean clothes and a washed floor🤣
Kathryn I love your content and the jar hack does work but a reason it isn’t advertised much is because jars aren’t shatterproof. The shaking and vibrations from the blender can make the jars shatter and cause injury. It might be a good idea to add a disclaimer in your video.

Ooh, I learned something from a little old lady I used to care for about fruit flies. She taught me to wash my bananas as soon as I brought them home. I guess the fruit fly eggs are already on them so when you wash them off, there are no eggs left to hatch. I haven't had a fruit fly since. Those bananas can sit out on the counter until they're brown enough for banana bread and no flies!

Wow, Carson did an awesome job with those watercolors!!! Beautiful!!!! Thank you for the video! I am trying to change my sheets to white to simplify and create a really cozy oasis in out bedroom. I love that laundry tip about the baking soda and vinegar and will definitely make a note of that! Also love the idea about creating a space for just you. I have started taking 10 minutes after my workout to just hang out by myself doing whatever I want. I really love that time!!!
Here's an easy way to put pillow cases on your pillows... insert your arms into the pillow case grab the two corners like u are going to flip it inside out but flip only enough to bring the corners inside out, then turn it around and put your hands inside the flip side grab the corners again and then grab your pillow corners and flip the case rightside out onto the pillow...it makes it much easier than shaking the pillow in the pillow case just feed the case upwards to place the pillow in the case. Less fighting the pillow to feed into the case like I used to with the shake method...I hope that helps someone, lol

I have one of those cylindrical snack things that I use in my band mom bag. On one side is a little first aid kit. The other side is a mini sewing kit. The dressing cup has hair elastics, safety pins and Bobby pins. I’ve used it so often and I got the tip from you originally. Thanks :)
I do the same thing with my kids board games. But I am very organized so inside of each box all of the pieces are put in the little snack size baggies so if the box was to fall open, it would be an easy clean up. ❤

My mom used a prescription bottle to make a little sewing kit and mini 1st aid kit. She made one for all her purses, totes, and suitcases.

I use DT mini Mason jar shakers with the lids that have holes for my DYI flying bug catcher in my kitchen. I use warm water, sugar, ACV, and dish soap. I place one by the trash can and on the other side of my kitchen by the fruit. I'm amazed at how many and how fast it catches flying pests. I hope you know your a blessing to me and watching you is such a joy, so informative, so fun , and I appreciate the clean language and family content. It's hard to find that on social media now days. I've been ill for several years now and I'm no longer working,your videos are my go to for my dyi cravings, and you have definitely made me a dt shopping expert in my little town lol. Love, Love, LOVE this video and I love your down to earth approach to keeping things clean and organized ~ and giving ourselves permission to not lose our minds over trying to be perfectly put together every day in every way! :-D There were so many great ideas and hacks in this video. One thing about the fruit flies, and yes, we get invaded by them every year too, is that I've saved up baby food jars to use as traps. I've painted and decorated them to match my kitchen, modge podged them with seasonal or pretty napkins. I use the same 'recipe' you showed, using maybe half an ounce of apple cider vinegar with dish liquid, poke some tiny holes in the lid and set them out. Works like a charm! Thanks for another wonderful video! :-)

I love my car organizer. It’s called a backseat hanging organizer. Straps to either the driver seat or the passenger seat. I have all the essentials like a hairbrush, hair ties, gum, first aid kit, mirror and even some snacks.

The sheets in the pillowcase is a game changer. Saves time, and honestly if there are any wrinkles they just smooth out when you put the sheets on the bed. The first aid/emergency kit is nice. However, it shouldn't be left in the car due to extreme temperatures if you have medicines or antibiotic ointment in the kit. Would be great to toss in a purse though.

When my boys were younger we kept a small exercise trampoline in the tv room. They jumped on that thing constantly! If they couldn’t go outside somebody was jumping! We had that for so many years. Also the collapsable tunnels. They found so many ways to play with that. We had that for many many years also. I love all your videos. Thank you for all the tips. 💞

I used white pool noodles in place of the toilet paper rolls for my curtains. I just cut them to the length that I wanted and Viola!!! My curtains look amazing.

I put my sheets in an inside out pillow case then give it a twist and flip the excess case over the twist and it creates at cute flower shape. Then I store them on the bed. Practical magic!
I got a plastic container with a lid from DT and filled it with all the first aid supplies my family may need from DT. I keep it under my middle seats in my van. It has come to the rescue many times in the last 9 years since I started doing that.

i LIVE for my HappyLight!!! I start using it religiously every morning about a week before we "fall back" through "spring forward." I only use it in between if I'm stuck indoors a lot. Love the blender hack - I'm going to try it! I miss living with people who love to play board games - I may have to move in. 😂🤣😂
Lol love how you put social media on blast about it not being real and especially how honest you were about your own home. It's super refreshing. Heck I'm a stay at home mom with a 7.5 month old baby (my first 😊) and I have a hard time keeping the house clean. Heck even when it was just my husband and me it was a chore keeping the house clean 😅😂. With time being such a finite resource, I realized that houses that stay clean probably get extra help from cleaning service for those of you out there wondering.

Great hacks! Just be cautious about storing meds in your car. It’s always best to store meds in a cool dark place.

The toiletries at the dollar store are great to make a toiletry kit for travel as well. Plus, it is not too expensive, if on the last night you want to dispose of the items to have more room in your suitcase. Before your next trip, restock at the dollar tree.

Also, I'm a master fruit fly trapper! Being a gardener, I use Mosquito Dunks in plant pots and water, and fruit fly traps filled with either vinegar, wine, or beer. I also have a little blacklight fan thing that sucks in bugs, but it gets moths sometimes, and I don't like that! 😂
I did the pillowcase hack yesterday. I turned one pillowcase inside out & shoved the matching linen inside. I’m 44. I wish I thought about this or knew to do this sooner!! Thank you

My husband just put in a built-in bookcase and I was hoping to store our games on it. But I hated how messy it looks I love how stacking on the side, I’m going to add a large rubber band to each game just in case, should keep it looking nicer. Thank you for the great idea. My favorite idea I believe is in another video where you just put a drop of essential oil before gas come over inside the toilet paper roll, literally the worlds easiest and most effective hack ever.
