I had completely forgotten that both Rhuk and the TIE-Defender were in Rebels, but that knowledge still doesn't diminish my joy at seeing them in this episode.

@@pReviewd Gilad Pellaeon (if you are curious of spelling lol - its weird) is the very first point of view character of the HTE Trilogy. We meet Thrawn through his eyes and is super chilling. I am so glad to see him included and brought to prominence.

That was a tie defender. One of my favorite Star Wars ships. I love that Morgan conceptualized it. Also she’s such a stone cold bad ass with that bescar spear. That fight before Thrawn showed up was so cool! Speaking of Thrawn, it was so good seeing him again and seeing him being calculating and diabolical. Also I was laughing so hard at your bit about the tie fighter pilot’s screaming. I can’t unhear it now.

Morgan vs Rukh was honestly and objectively one of the coolest, cleanest, best animated fights we have gotten in Star Wars animation. That fight was soooo cool
I know I’m far from the first or last person to throw some lore answers your guys way but Elsbeth’s attacker was Thrawn’s bodyguard Ruhkk from Heir to the Empire later adapted for Webels. Meaning we got to see Thrawn, Pelleaon and Ruhkk together on screen for the first time. Now all we need is Jourus CaBaoth and we’re set.

Facts! I was watchinh this and rubbing my hands together with glee. I love Thrawn and it’s great to see him again. He’s scary smart. Though in all fairness I saw him in Rebels before reading the books.
I just bought the canon Thrawn trilogy yesterday, so going to be fun digging into that this month

Definitely wasnt very smart in it... he sounds like it and behaves the way youd expect but the actual battle strategies and choices he made in that show were terrible and a waste of resources, which according to him he had limited of. :/
He was better in Rebels in that sense.
The acting is spot on tho.

Was this his Ahsoka theme or his Rebels theme? I couldn’t tell. But I agree. I wouldn’t say he’s second best for me personally, but he’s definitely in my top 5 to 10.

It's ok Adam. Initially, I missed something in the following episode. If you freeze frame a shot where Morgan holds the staff on her right arm, during combat, it's almost a identical shot, to one that Bruce Lee poses as in Enter the Dragon. It felt like a Mafia sit down. Morgan had to go through 2 screeners before meeting the "Don" face to face. I loved this episode!

Small correction: Vader's TIE was the TIE Advanced, those were Defender's. But now I will NEVER think of the fighter sound without thinking it's the pilot's screaming.

Morgan's revenge is realized at the end of Ahsoka s1: "For Dathomir." She couldn't have known it would work out that way, but yeah. Also, Thrawn's thesis is indeed "a stronger empire." Why? Read Thrawn (the first canon novel by Zahn). It BLEW me away, and the rest of the trilogy just expounds upon it.

I've always thought of the TIE/ln as an allegory for the Sherman Tank in WW2 it isn't an icon of the war because it was the best American tank, it was however so cheap and fast to build they could replace them faster than they lost them, and they lost a lot. The Great Empire Ego figured it didn't need to care how good the TIE was, they could just make more.

I think someone did't do there homework. Thrawn was an admiral when he gets the 7 fleet and get's promoted to grand admiral, right before the start of rebels season 3 and the captain of the chimera at that time was "Karyn Faro" throughout book 1 & 2. Captain pellaeon joins thrawn in book 3 and that is in the finally of rebels.
