My boss was leaving and I made this cake in mini bundt pans for the office. Like most people, I didn't have the butter flavored shortening. I used the vegetable shortening instead. Everyone raved over these little beauties! It was delicious. Thanks for making me into a baking superstar. I've made a couple of your dishes and they were delicious and delightful. Did your cakes stick to the pan? Mine did not the first time but the next two... 😭😭😭 toffee stuck to the top of my bundt pan.
@@foxyboop4164 Not really. I've usually tossed the bits in flour because I've heard that helps. And I've been known to over spray my pans. Also that caramel covers many sins.

I am so pleased. I made the Brown Sugar Caramel Pound Cake for my daughter’s birthday dinner celebration. Everyone enjoyed it. The cake was moist and flavorful. I substituted cake flour for all purpose flour (as I do in all of my bundt cakes-no sifting necessary). The recipe was easy to follow. I must say that this is an ideal cake for special occasions.

Made this for Thanksgiving and it was a BIG hit!! I was threatened with bodily harm because it was so good and it was the GONE baby! Thanks for sharing. Only thing I had to bake about 20 extra minutes, mine was still too loose.

I’ve made this a few times now and creaming the butter and sugar mixture together is very important , I didn’t do that part right once and you can definitely tell the difference. But when done right this cake is soooo sooo delicious!

I made this cake but tell me why it had the nerve to overflow on me while baking in the oven!!! I couldn't let it go down like that so I hurried up put on some oven mitts and cleaned the oven with the quickness! Then after all that I let it finish baking then it had the nerve to stick to the pan when I flipped it so half of the cake was still in the pan!!! Then and after all that it turned out delicious! Ugly but delicious!!!! Lol! 😂

Ok so this was a task for me Monique. I took one short cut cause I found a caramel condensed milk and when cake was complete it was more of a pecan candy look (with glaze) . LOL. Now to the cake, in your video when adding your 2 cups of brown sugar packed, mines look like more sugar for some reason. I always get scared when I see packed for recipe. Also I would like to know what did you use to grease pan. I only had Flour Baking Spray it did ok just on one side I had some stick but the glaze covered it but please share that tip. Again thanks for all your recipes...I'm loving the buttermilk pancakes too..girl...on point. Happy Holidays!
