- This could be the taxi of the future. The EZ-GO is a concept by Renault. It’s a fully autonomous ride-hailing service. It doesn’t require a driver to be present. And if necessary, it could be controlled remotely.
Hailing an EZ-GO is simple. It’s all done through the app. 1) Choose your experience. You can choose a private ride or share with others. 2) Reserve your seats. The EZ-GO would seat up to six. It could also take tourists on a guided tour. 3) Get in and go. The door lifts vertically allowing riders to walk in upright. A ramp also makes the EZ-GO more accessible.
The interior is designed for comfort. Sofa-style seating. 360-degree windows. In-car WiFi and wireless charging. A display shows your travel information. Renault sees a need for new mobility solutions in cities today. EZ-GO aims to solve those issues. Would you reserve this ride?

Unsafe. Bench seating is based on the concept of a city bus, but without the bus' added safety advantage of being higher up and surrounded by tons of metal. Being so low, as cars are, with glass sides, and bench seats this car would be very UNSAFE.

If you need to get somewhere far would it arrange another car to pick you up before the one you're in is out of energy. What if somebody is sleeping in it, getting killed or raped, and than it gets hacked and they drive it into a swimming pool? It falls on its back how do you get out?

Well then the saying goes.. 'He who fears innovation replacing jobs, simply doesn't deserve the fruits of such creation'. Which I suggest both of you stop using your cars for horse dealers, iPhone/android for Blackberry phones, Netflix for tv/cinema, apps for bored games, Amazon for retail store etc. The list goes on.
People such as yourselves continuously forget that the working environment changes as technology progresses, with new jobs created over time.

Some idiot made a movie about self-driving cars in the past and these idiots are trying to make this a reality without looking at the current social and economic issues the world is facing now. You don't have to make a reality everything you saw in Back To The Future and the Jetsons.
