Sounds huge man! Like you I come from a metal background. One thing I havent seen you touch on is how you have your tracks panned. I'm pretty familiar with they way its done in metal, but beatmaking not so much. Maybe you could make a video on the general rules on panning instruments?
I don't know why I saw your comment after a month, but anyway :D There's no rule about how to pan everything in a beat, but I may give out some guidelines in an upocming video though

These beats are really fun and simple to make, the hardest though for me is using the memphis vocals. I always hear the original instrumentals bleeding through, and when I eq it, the vocals turn super buzzy and I end up just not using any samples half the time 😔
Yeah, the instrumental in the sample can be an issue. Try isolating the vocals with some sort of an algorithm like this one: czcams.com/video/h51IhFLVcnA/video.html
You could probably get the vocals out of the original memphis songs
try to build your Harmony around the artifacts. So u can use the to ur advantage
