I only "discovered" Jack L's music today when I started reading the book Alexandra Gone by Anna McPartlin. Why is this man not the crazy success that he deserves to be? What a voice!
Why oh why, has this great voice and man not had international exposure and the success he deserves. One of the hardest songs to sing even with music and here he is with not one single solitary chord....like K D Lang he has the most purest voice. Come to Australia Jack. xx
Jack is the only artist, apart from the great Leonard Cohen, that does this song justice. I come back to this recording every now and then and play it about 10 times consecutively....or more. Jack can literally sing any song and turn it into his own. I'm not religious, but Jack's voice is truly a gift from God....whichever God you want it to be from, because this version of Hallelujah proves it. Goosebumps every time, not to mention you can hear a pin drop every time he sings it.
As a Leonard Cohen fan who is sick to death of this song being poorly sung by others, I gotta say that this is utterly sublime. Just so very perfect. Please sing more Cohen. It would be great to have someone of your talent and sensitivity to do some of Cohen’s late works. You’d do them justice.

I actually prefer Jack's voice over Leonard's anytime. This version and Jeff Buckley's are my favorite.
