I've been an NBA fan since I was 14 (I'm 31 now) and I have NEVER heard of MJ shattering a board.. this is gold for me! WOW!
holy shit you’re 45 now ?
I'm 42, huge Jordan fan since his N.C. days and the only reason I looked into it was bc my 19 y/o wants the shattered J's. 🤯
@@noe_lpt Nah he aged 30 years in 14 years 😐
@damian learn to read
@@mmmmmmm81622 uhh seems you might’ve read the original comment too fast...
Wow, to add insult to injury, it shatters all over the other team
ikr... And he didn't even have to duck himself. . Almost like it was intentional
It's the other way around. He added injury to insult.
Mj was so amazing .. I hated him I wanted Karl and Stockton to get a ring so bad but mj would hit the game winner everytime but he did push off against russell.... Jordan is the greatest ever but the 90s bulls couldn't beat 80s Lakers n Celtics or 01 Lakers or 17 warriors...
lol
no they ran into it anyone could’ve dodged that
Not sure what's better, that Jordan just casually jogs away or that the editor synced this up to the theme of Crocodile Dundee.
pretty sure he was getting tf out of the way, but it looks like he's casually jogging off because it's in slowmo
@@MS-ho9wq Uh, he was already out of the way and they show it in regular speed as well. He was pretty clearly casually jogging off.
It’s the dundee, trust mee
Ya I noticed the music immediately lol
@@MS-ho9wq Good take. I'd agree. You can even see him start to duck his head a little as he leaves.
The 1s that surfaced today bring anybody else here
Sure did
Hell yeah.
All day
Yea I saw it on SC00P208
Jake Utterback Same here
God damn. I know he's "air" Jordan and all, but I still think lots of young kids today would be stunned at how high Jordan could jump when he was in his youth. Look at the air he got here. My god, what a leaper. People are used to his later years, when his vertical was not even CLOSE to this. This was his athletic prime, and he was a way better leaper than anyone I've ever seen when he was in it.
It wasn't so much how high Jordan could jump it was how he glides in the air... he dropped 61 on birds Celtics on the playoffs and bird said it was like watching God in a bulls uniform
Amazing
@@joshuahaynes7128
Jesus in sneakers
48" VERT ... BLAME THE PISTONS FOR HIM PACKING ON ALL THAT MUSCLE AND SACRIFICING SOME LEAPING SO HE COULD WITHSTAND THE POUNDING OF THE BAD BOYS AND THE KNICKS
You’re actually right I never thought of it that way
Man, I forget sometimes how freaking amazing Jordan was. Every game he played in was exciting to watch. I just don't feel that way about any player today.
That's exactly how I feel. So much so that I can't get myself to sit through entire games after MJ left the bulls.
And still true in this almost 2024, my friends
Only Luka
agayactornamedmichaeldougl6289, Luka is great and all but no, kyrie is more fun to watch than Luka magic🤣🤣🤣
The joker is fun to watch
The most underrated video of basketball history,
Look at where he took off... sheesh.

There is another version that shows the reverse angle of this dunk... its awesome too...
The legendary stuff in his archive just keeps piling up it’s gonna be hard for anyone to remove mj as THE GOAT….
You got it man. That's exactly what I've been thinking. I keep telling people "Watch his highlights! Watch his highlights!" The footage should convince any honest-hearted person.
山羊→怎麼算 怎麼看,都輪不到喬丹,因為有2座大山擋著。
埸上霸王→拉塞爾 羅素。
數據天神→威爾特 張伯倫
Watch WILT'S highlights.....he's the GOAT.
Well Lebron James played for a long time?
@@idicula1979yeah that’s the argument lmao
This is one of the coolest plays in sports I've ever seen. Not only does MJ dunk the shit out of this ball....he showers 3 opponent players with the glass without getting a spec on himself. That's dirty!
WOW !!!!!
I saw MJ play live in Chicago 1992.
HE IS SUPERMAN !!!
Popeye Jones is better
nah@@higherpurpose1212
@@higherpurpose1212 Shawn Bradley is better too
@@AwesomeCrabman there was a phenom player in Asia, I think it's in the Philippines, his name is Romulo Mamaril, search him up, better than Obakenyama or whatever his name is from France
You guys are both wrong, it was Rony seikaly
Taking off two steps inside the freethrow line off two feet is just ridiculous. Can't see any other player doing that, MJ might very well be the most versatile leaper ever.
Umm.. Serge Ibaka. But whatevs
6'11'
But whatevs
Peter B. James flight white! lol
+Carlos Andrei he's like 5 inches taller than michael jordan and his wingspan is wider than michael jordan..
NAaaVspace Flight can take off from further than MJ ever could (windmill from ft line) but i doubt he could do it off two feet -- when all your momentum has completely stopped
I just heard about the GOAT shattering this backboard in 1985. So this is my first time seeing this.
Loved that comment
I know it doesn't really happen anymore because of Safety concerns, but seeing the backboard shatter was ALWAYS an Amazing thing to watch.
This is the first glass shattering video where the dunker is untouched by the glass lmao. MJ just breaks it, and watches it rain down on the defense. I love it.
The shattered backboard Js brought me here. That is all. Dang Jordan!
Me too from sneaker heads
T0XIC SNIP3R word...never knew about this
I love how he just runs back on defense like it never happened 😂😂😂
MJ plays both sides of the floor not like many of the so-called super stars of today.
You can still play right? Just no bank shots.
@@MrYoumitubeEverybody played D back in the day. Even if they couldn't stop them they guarded their man.
Hey!!! I attended that game, it was a post season set up to celebrate MJ. It was great, MJ played 1st half with the white shirt and 2nd half with black and orange (Stefanel Trieste - Italy). The big guy under the raining glass wasn't able to play the rest of the game (he had cuts everywhere) and whoever attended that game will never forget the roar of the exploding glass.
Do you still remember if so what was the crowd like
🔥🔥🔥
WOW. what a lucky person you are!!!!
Having grown up and played ball during the Jordan era, and now watching the Kobe era, I can tell you hands down that Jordan was in a whole different LEAGUE. Kobe is excellent, no doubt, but you can't compare him to Jordan. Go watch the seasons when the Bulls won the titles. Watch all the finals. See the 69 point game. See him playing with food poisoning, the Flu. See him still owning everyone on the court, even though he could barely stand. See his buzzer-beating win shots. The man was AMAZING.
RIP
Even when MJ does something destructive it still looks graceful. He was even kind enough to bless them with a shower after that filthy dunk 😂
This dunk needs to be a bigger deal
I mean it's the inspiration behind one of the most popular Jordan 1 colorways (The shattered backboards)
@@clickbaitcrill3394 I mean, like, totally bro.
And he even had a clean landing. What a boss.
Best slam dunk ever! Hollywood couldn’t have done any slam dunk any better.
Why isn't this talked about more? Let alone it's probably the greatest basketball ever, it's also a GUARD. MJ was maybe 6-6 195 lbs tops here.
They say he was probably 6’6” with shoes on too. So he was really near 6’5”. They used to lie a lot for the draft
I don't think he is 6-6, you can see how small he is in comparison to Wilt in photos
That’s my point exactly!!! I’m glad somebody else sees that
He was 6'4''.5 barefoot.
This is rare footage!
Just when I thought I had seen all MJ Clips, Docs, Ads, movies, higlights, more comes out!
I wonder if Jordan ever looks at his own retro clips
Haha interesting thought
I'd be in the mancave hours at a time doing that if I were him lol it would be hard not to
he probably has better sources than youtube
Shattered Backboard 3.0's brought me here💯
Ballsack 1.0s
thems be too shiny
Barney like the treasure from a sunken pirate wreck
The 3.0 are the terrible
I wonder if anybody got any glass in their eyes?
E
Or ears
Francisco Martinez how did I find u
One of the guys reported pretty serious injuries to his hand. I forgot his name. The name of the Jordan's shoe edition "blackboard shattered" had orange in it, which is the color of the team he played for in that occasion (Trieste).
Oh yeah
It took me 40 year's to see this
I was in Germany 1985.
US Army 84-91.
News of this happening was everywhere. German tv kept playing the clip over and over again.
Thanks so much for sharing this video. 🪖🇺🇸🇩🇪
Been watching him since the UNC vs G'Town game....have never seen this footage before. AWESOME find!
WHAT? How have I never seen this?!? This dude really the GOAT
You uploading this clip singlehandedly helped create a colorway of sneakers beloved by many. Salute to you
Uwielbiam to nagranie. Co za sztywność w nogach a zarazem ten jego luz. Pięknie się to ogląda. Pozdrawiam
I'll always come back to this
How is video just now showing up, wow loved it.
Footage has been around for awhile
Those shoes he wore, were just sold for $615.000.. A new record 😱
Saw that on an achieve 3000 article
Kanye's Yeezys just shattered that record
if I had the Harry Winston ruby slippers, i'd have the most expensive shoes in the world and I wouldn't be gay anymore
He's amazing. There's clips in some of his highlight reels where he does jump from the free throw line. He was incredible
A running jump. Chamberlain could take 2 steps from a standing position and dunk it. He was 7 foot 1 inch though
If he actually jumped both legs over that guy, this would forever be the greatest dunk in the history of basketball.
Still top 5 ever to me
@@youngcactusjackyes, because he was just inside the dam free-throw line
thats Vince Carter in the olympics.. The death dunk
When you're so undeniably goat that gliding over your opponents to a gorgeous dunk and shattering the backboard all over the opponent doesn't make your top 100 greatest highlights.
how can a human jump so high in such stressful and restricted circumstances damn
Adrenaline and focus
Look how far he took off from and that classic slide dunk. MJ really had trampolines. Jumping off the ground was so forceful.
Those shoes have been auctioned for 615 million $ today
Yeah, like the price of an island... Its' 615 thousand $
@@daviderossi39 615 million LOL!
Just when you think you've seen every single highlight of a player, another one pops up. Crazy. God Bless CZcams
Something that's not often mentioned is how nothing surprises Jordan. No matter what crazy thing he does. He shatters the backboard and he just runs back to Defense like nothing new happened at all lol
what the hell, i cant believe I never seen this before. this is probably one of his better dunks too!
GOAT
isnt it obvious
No kidding
What a legend, the backboard waited till Michael was out of the way before breaking.
no, it’s just that it broke because he pulled the rim and it wasn’t until he was past the backboard where the pull on the rim was enough to make the backboard explode
don’t get all emotional and start saying shi t that makes no sense 😂
@@4sernamedon't downplay how sick this dunk is.. my guy is just trying to make sense of the godliness
@@4sernameDude, relax. It was a funny comment. I know you're mad at your bro for being the funny one, but we can't all be comedians.
@@4sername LeBron, you have to admit that dunk was EPIC!
@@YouGotServed835 I was just shtting on him, you know guys and how our humor works sometimes.
that was very generous of him. he made it to where they could play the game still just no bank shots
That’s so funny. I never noticed that shit till now
How do u keep running like u didn’t break the backboard 😂😂
Because this isnt real duh
He’s just that smooth, even in his celebration.
Im _markj what he post to do grab a broom
@@jeanyvesj24 bruh it clearly is. This is legit filmed back in the day
THE GOAT 😂
This answered one of my biggest questions about MJ. Out of all the dunks he did, did he ever shatter the boards like Shaq did?
As of today Lebron has watched this 192 times and thumbed it down on each view. That is the only logical explanation why anyone would vote this down.
he can hate all he wants, but when people think 23 it will always be Michael Jordan
moe like steph curry lebron likes jordan
LeBron is not a Jordan hater. He wears 23 for a reason
Lol. I love how Jordan continues to smoothly run back on defense with his back turned and didn’t even watch his own carnage.
how could you dislike this video?
I like how he was only 1 step inside the foul like and still flew over everyone with ease in a game...
I love the music in the background. It’s seems so much colder than the heavy bass highlights reels of today. The thought of some band leader watching Jordan drive to the cup and going, “Aight, fellas- and-a one, and-two…”
The most impressive thing is that he leaped off two feet so far out.
His genetic ability to jump well off one foot and two feet are amazing.
I love how he starts to run back down court like nothing just happened, lol, thats how bad ass jordan was, that was everyday shit for him
haha and he just casually jogs back down the court as if nothing ever happened..
The start of that music is AMAZINGLY FRIGHTENING
These shoes just sold for $640K!!!!!
nobody will ever be as good as he was
I believe there never will be, he was just too good. They called him Jesus for a reason
I'm watching this cause I'm getting the new 2k16 shattered backboard 1s
DoubleJ_ lol im gonna try and get them too
I never knew of MJ shattering a backboard and I was in college the same year as he was and followed most of his games!
Except for the non-competitive overseas spectacles!
But great job, dude! ⚡
It's like he's doing the ultimate disrespect. Posterized and rained shattered glass to his opponents.
AMAZING!!
This was the first basket game I've seen live in my life... I was 5 years old! What an experience!
did they continue after a while?
You’re a legend
on the Internet, anyone can type "this was my 1st basketball game"
His story still amazes. Cut from his highschool team to this. How does that happen, much less the cosmic alignment of his stratospheric career!
Love the Crocodile Dundee theme music
There was nothing anyone could've done to stop him. Unstoppable.
Scoop208 brought me here, I had no idea mike did this B
Jordan's like "You're making it rain i'm making it snow."
I like the way Michael didnt get any of those glass shards on him, while some losers on the opposing team got it
Amazing. Never seen this footage before.
The Crocodile Dundee music makes this even more perfect.
Share, the GOAT. He got enormous power.
Holy shit lol.
This is what Rosa Parks died for
Lol
NEVER seen or knew this!.. "51" been a Bulls fan all my life...Mike was the man❤️🖤
Damn it’s really been 15 years since I’ve seen this and I remember the song and edits this video is CZcams Gold!
I just heard about the shattered 1's from DamnDee's channel, that why I looked this up.
At take off his back foot is no more than about 6 inches from the free throw line...took off on both feet like he was catapulted up in the air...unreal
How have i never seen this amazing footage of MJ?
I had the honor to see Jordan play 4 times in Atlanta mostly during the playoffs with the Hawks back in 1996 through 1998. I never got to see Pippen play due to being hurt. Rodman was fun to watch back then.
Those Italian dudes were probably wondering, "How the hell are we supposed to defend against that?!" Jordan was a phenom. I'm sure they had never encountered player like him before.
Look how far out he jumps so effortlessly....he was amazing and no doubt the goat.
His Airness in action is a beautiful thing to watch..
And now I know why they are called the Shattered Backboards
Not once LeBron shattered the backboard
most meanest dunk he ever jamd!!😐🔥
I'm from Trieste, the italian city where he did that ad thats sooo epic
I'm 48 years old. I thought i've seen every every highlight of jordan's thank you dude !!! And that is some interesting music with anybody know what that is ???
Can’t believe I’ve never seen this before and I’m pretty old 😅been watching nba for decades
What's crazy is how I couldn't see his face clearly, and even if the title didn't say Jordan, I'd know it was him. The way he dunks can't really be copied 100% unlike other dunkers. Guys like MJ, VC, Nique and Kemp dunked with such style, you can't really copy it. You just can't make a regular windmill look as good as VCs or a tomahawk look as good as J
Watching Jordan play makes me happy...
Nice Work
Share, the GOAT.
Wowwwwwwww Simply The Best Basketball Player EVER!
WOW!!!
I can't believe this is the first time in my life seeing this so beautiful
a backboard will never ever be shattered SO smooth again!
This would of been most filthy yet legendary dunk if dude was two steps closer for Jordan to jump over him. Still is legendary in my book though.
"I'M NOT PAYING FOR THAT SHIT"
