Michigan should definitely be in the top 10, but one of the reasons that they might be lower is because their stadium doesnât get as loud as youâd think. Itâs built far into the ground and something about it doesnât hold sound as well đ€·ââïž
It's due to the shape of the bowl, being so wide at the top, all the sound escapes up and out. The stadium has gotten louder in recent years due to the new press/sky boxes and now the bigger Jumbotron/Scoreboards. The older generation of fans were also a problem there (the wine and cheese crowd) and now they are being replaced by the younger generations who understand the importance of crowd involvement.
App State and Toledo sure didn't find it too tough

Iâve been there many times small and big games itâs generally much louder the better the team is itâll be dead silent for 90% of the game against western Michigan but you canât hear the guy next to you screaming in your ear vs Ohio State
Michigan is that low because of how it is shaped to make sound travel up
Day night definitely matters for our experience.
LSU shouldâve been number 1 & Michigan shouldâve at least been in the top 10, if not top 5.
-Va Tech hasnât been a tough place to play for a very long time. Enter the Sandman alone shouldnât put them that high.
-LSU should be 1
-Bamaâs stadium isnât that loud. The Bama team itself makes them tough to play at home lol.
-Jordan-Hare & The Swamp should be above Bama
-Autzen Stadium should be top 3
-No Oklahoma State is ridiculous. Their record is really good too.
-OSU (Iâm a fan, soâŠ) is a little too high, maybe that Blue stadium up North is too low.
-I hope the rankings change really quickly.

As a Wisconsin native and a badger fan, the thing about camp Randall stadium, is that there are nearly a nearly a 100+ restaurants/bars in a 5 block radius not to mention, uw-Madison is know worldwide as one of the biggest party schools, we getting rowdy here

@@gsh00k But that's because, completely honestly, Alabama had a better football team most of the time. And that's coming from an LSU fan. Death Valley not being at 1 just feels wrong. Especially when it is nationally recognized as the top example of crowd presence. Almost every youtube thumbnail I see related to home field advantage has Death Valley in the picture.
@@gsh00kSadly, Alabama is just better. To look at how good home field advantage is, you have to compare home record to away record. Sure Alabama has a winning record in Death Valley, but their record is a lot better at home

I personally think there should have been more depth to this list, like I think Tiger Stadium AT NIGHT beats the twelfth man. Or a penn state WHITE OUT beats out a noon Tiger Stadium game.

It seems like this is kind of a factor, thinking about a Tennessee where they do a lot of theme games to increase crowd size/noise as opposed to Michigan where they donât do as much.
I have been to 16 stadiums including LSU, A&M, Bama, and Tennessee. The last time I went to an A&M game the stadium was swaying and it got crazy. It ABSOLUTELY rattles every ranked team going in. I would say #1 is accurate, #2 is LSU hands down
Kyle Field was built for intimidation. Roofs on the East and West sides to capture noise, stands are closer to the field to help make it louder and snug, triple decker design to make the stadium feel even taller than it normally is, and then the 12th man (the Aggie Fanbase) when the âsaw varsityâs horns offâ segment plays, we all start swaying back and forth in opposite directions to mimic a saw cutting varsityâs horns off. The swaying is so strong that even the press box sways.
Yâall are really surprised about Kyle Field. I am a Bama fan and HATE the aggies but for all of yâall that do not watch SEC ball. For how sub par some of these aggies teams have been they have always played close games when they have the 12th man. I would love to know their margin of loss when playing at home over the last five years. If I had to guess it would be 5-7 points. That place is not fun to play atâŠ. AT ALL.
GGB do you know if we are able to upgrade our stadiums through the years in dynasty ?? Or even build new 1s ?

Still mad no Oklahoma state at all considering ncaa had to make rules specifically for Oklahoma state fans and the paddle people. With a capacity of 53,855 but has maxed out at 60,218 sold out every game in the 2023 season with most games being over sold and highest attendance being 54,105. The Cowboys have been amazing at home with the last 5 years being 30-5 at home
Biggest thing is Michigan missing the top 10. I was expecting top 5 for them. And I was expecting Death Valley to take #1. But, to A&Mâs defense as an Aggie, I bet they took into account all of the in game yells that we do. The most notable are BTHO, Farmers Fight, Gigâ Em, Aggies, and Locomotive. And there are more retired ones that can easily be revived with a few midnight yells. Like Military, Old Army, Kyle Field, Aggie Stomp, Horse Laugh, and the 3 Team yells. We also got the Aggie War Hymn and the Spirit of Aggieland. When you got 100,000 people all yelling to the other team, saying it doesnât get to them makes absolutely zero sense. But taking into account our team success recently, #1 definitely feels high. Michigan at #1 would make more sense than us

Now it's not only the top listed school for animal cruelty and the torturing of dogs in horrific ways in the name of advancements in medicine. Michigan is too low. I am an Aggie but with 16-5 we are too high. But our stadium was engineered to lower the field (compared to the actual ground level) to increase loudness. Plus we don't cheer, we have yells! Gig 'Em

I've seen some games on TV at kyle Field and their student section with sandstorm playing in the background can get loud at times. They have pulled off some major upsets it that building

Rankings are wild. I would switch Wisconsin and Michigan. Wisconsin gets a lot of attention for jump around but I never feared a Wisconsin road game. Kinnick stadium and Iowa has a better tradition of upsetting top 5 teams than Wisconsin does. I would move Iowa up move Michigan up and drop Wisconsin behind those two in the B1G.

Kyle Field at #1 and Ohio Stadium at #4 are the two I laughed the hardest at. A&M has a horrible home record recently and Ohio Stadium gets quiet as soon as they lose the lead by more than one score. Oregon, Michigan, Utah and Tennessee all disrespected. And I'd put Kinnick Stadium in Iowa a bit higher too. That place gets nuts for big conference match ups, night games and rivalry games.
IMO Environment is correlative but not causative with record. LSU A&M PennSt Florida much harder places to execute than Bama tOSU Texas. The difference in record is coaching not crowd disturbance. Just my opinion tho could be wrong

The developers of the game are huge college football fans, so I wouldnât be surprised if a lot of the devs hated Texas. But then again Alabama is number two so that just destroys my theory :/

Had my senior prom at the big house. Stood at the big M in the middle of the field myself and looked around with my own two eyes. Stadium looks like it only holds 60 thousand from that pov. My point is, the way that stadium is built it is so easy for sound to escape because itâs so wide with the height of the stadium not being high at all. While stadiums like Bryant Denny and Neyland hold similar numbers but their stadiums are far higher, therefore trapping in sound.
