I have the same one. It’s amazing and I sleep the best with it out of all my other mattress.
It's served me well.
My set up i use this for xcountry treks in Norway. Wool army blanket army on floor of tent, closed cell pad then 8R pad Best set up I ever had
Nice!
I have this pad. Very happy with it. I like that it's got thicker fabric, so I don't have to worry that it will get a hole if I look at it wrong (although I've got other "UL" xped pads and haven't had any holes). It's very warm.
It's great for sure.
I got the the therm a rest neoair x-therm. Do you like this one more?
I use the X-Therm for mountaineering (Denali, etc al): Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm Review
I use the Exped for sled expeditions & Greenland backpack trips
I am having 4 of those in use.... - just marvelously superior... best what you can get for money .... our KSK special forces are equipped with it. I am having both, the LW as well as the MW ... the latter for truck camping
Nice!
I have this same pad. Mine weighs 2lb 11.2 ounces without the stuff and pump sack. I am a side sleeper and find it very comfortable. The extra weight is worth it to me, too! Do you use a closed cell foam in conjunction with this?
Yes, I use a z-rest on top of this to reduce the cold soak effect.
it is crucial to store these mats slightly inflated, strictly not compressed !
Good pointer!
Did Exped fix the baffles exploding
Not sure - haven't had it happen. Do you have a link?
@@ALinsdau just type exped matress problems in google search many will come up
yes, they did
Warm & comfortable BUT EXTREMELY DELICATE.
My previous version lasted 15 years, so hopefully this will last as long.
-40F is only -4C. For camping, especially with Scouts (UK) they would need something that goes to -6C, any suggestions?
www.calculateme.com/temperature/fahrenheit-to-celsius/-40
-6ºC = 21ºF
Almost any insulated air mat would handle -6ºC.
No, negative 40 Celsius is negative 40 Fahrenheit. That's where the two temperature scales meet. -6 celsius is a balmy 21 degrees Fahrenheit.
the temparature rating goes down to -40 C !
Tested and approved.
