    After a little research I learned that swans turn totally white at about a year of age so a lot of young birds as seen here is good for the species.

    Yet another great waterfowl video. Those swans are so beautiful. The shots with them next to a Mallard really puts their size into perspective. I wonder how old they have to be before they are totally white? I never tire of watching waterfowl. Many thanks.

    And those are Trumpeter Swans the population of which was on the brink of extinction about 50 years ago due to hunting to make down comforters and pillows.
