Unlike other colors that shout "I am here", it is an indicator of elegance that is appreciated as you get closer. The warmth of the yellow gold indices and the champagne color is wonderful. It takes you back to the old times.

Great video and could not agree more, after a 10 month wait I had the call back in November to collect my OP41 black dial, and could not be happier, having a collection of divers the Op is a breath of fresh air. Its a timeless classic with no clutter that suits any situation, so thanks again for this 👍

Thought I'll come back to this video , I had the call and picked it up last week ......it's absolutely beautiful can't stop looking at it. The most elegant of all OPs and those 18ct yellow gold hands and hour markers ....pure perfection in simplicity

I love the intros, a masterpiece of a watch looks as if in its natural environment- beautiful Venetian background, taking afternoon tea from fine bone China, the gentle classical music backdrop- elegance and class - perfect. This watch channel is so on my page I feel as though I’ve already enjoyed the watch without owning it 😂

Excellent Video - this is what you do best. I brought this exact same configuration in 31mm for my wife. She loves it, understated quality and class.
It is an excellent watch to wear daily. The dial when you look at it closely is magnificent - the Rolex marketing material highlights that as well. Well done to you and enjoy wearing it.
A great looking watch. My favourite OP is still the 39mm with rhodium dial and of course it has the all important 20mm lug width. Lovely video Oisin.

I’d say:
Pros: Rolex crown status. Great on the fly bracelet. Not a scratch magnet like the Datejust/Milgauss etc. due to brushing Legibility. Long power reserve. Accuracy. Antimagnetic. Long service interval. Set and forget if you’re a person who can’t be arsed setting a date. Sleek and slender lines so fits under a cuff. The ‘joyful’ coloured dials are quite versatile jeans or a suit etc. The silver being the most dressy, not sure it’s a casual attire piece. Value retention.
Cons: Big shiny Rolex object attracts muggers like flies to shit like no other. That’s a very big dial with such a narrow bezel, if you’re a small wristed guy it’s going to look cartoonishly large. All you get is a three hander looking back at you, no interactivity. As the dial is so large they had to fill the space so the double markers at the cardinals may not to be everyone’s taste. You could get comments such as - ah, if only it was the Tiffany blue from watch heads obsessed with market value. If the prices rocket you then your annual replacement insurance premiums are going north too. Acquisition price - depending on dial hype you’re either going to edit forever or seriously pay through your snout. Where’s the date? For date fans.
Personally I like the sunray blue. That so-called Tiffany blue does bugger all for me.
Another great video ! Having seen / handled all the ops in person this one is def classy / understated though my favorite 2 are the coral red and green the Tiffany is starting to loose steam a bit now prices mellowing out a bit more

I have been waiting for my OP 41 Green dial that I ordered in June and I was told by March I would have it so we will see .
I have the OP 41 in the Blue sunburst dial and it’s amazing as well .

Great video. I was just recently able to get an OP 41 green and it’s my first Rolex. I’m super impressed with it, it’s just about the perfect watch.
So how do you feel about the wrist presence of the 41mm? I found the 41mm Datejust rather broad faced.

@@jonathana2079 I am a pretty large guy so it fits me no problem, I take pride in being the most muscular watch CZcamsr lol I don’t even know my wrist size or I’d share it with you but I’m sure it’s pretty darn close to the DJ 41 although everyone keeps saying the OP 41 is actually 39.5 mm
@@Gilles-yn6np yeah I waited 1.5 years for the call. I didn’t think it was ever going to happen to tell you the truth. I recently put on a video on my channel of every interaction word for word I had with my AD, I reached out like once a month that entire time.

A great choice in my humble opinion Oisin. To me the silver/champagne dial is the classic. I love the coloured dial options but I could not really pull them off as I tend to wear my watches out and about. When this update was released I pondered the different colours but this version stuck. The sunburst dial combined with the gold hands and applied hour markers just ooze understated class. One that flies under the grid not attracting unwanted attention. Terrific videography on the intro and outro with the focus panning. Very well done!

@@InsaneFame The dial on my watch looks more light Champagne in most lighting conditions but in others looks silver like the images in the video. This maybe partly due to the lume filled yellow gold hour markers and hands reflecting on the sunburst dial. Hopefully this helps.

Really dig this model. About 8 months a go i went to official Rolex retailer with whom i have some buying history and got my name on a waiting list. The nice lady said that the wait would be something around one year. I said o.k. and left. 5 minutes later my phone rang and it was the same lady calling, telling me she had made a mistake, the wait would be about 3 years :D Well.....I'm still on a list, as it does not obligate me to buying it. We'll see what happens when i get ''THE CALL'', if i ever do. And that OP money went to Grand Seiko's pocket this time. PS. Please make that Air-King video happen, love that piece and would be great to see and hear what you think about it. Keep up the good work.

I got my Rolex ten days before you got yours. I'd like a Datejust in steel. My two tone YM is a bit bling especially in sunlight. I love it and wear it every day but, a simple understated Datejust would be a lovely daily wearer.
At 76, I’m going for the blue. I’ll brighten the room as a rockin grandma!

Beautiful watch , I originally ordered the green dial, but they had this version and changed my mind and was lucky to get early last yeah, don't have big wrists so have the 36mm

Was going to order a green dial 36mm until saw it in the flesh, changed to a blue 36mm. Doubt I’ll ever get it as only ever bought two watches from that particular AD.

my thoughts exactly. Oisin i had the opportunity to buy the Tiffany dial but didn’t care for it. I thought the silver dial was much more elegant and that’s the one I bought. I always buy what i like first and foremost.

Beautiful video as always Oisin. I have the green OP36 and find it wears better than my Explorer 124270 (36mm) due to the wider bracelet. Shame the Explorer doesn’t share the 20mm. Love your semi lume shots on this! Gives it a Tiffany quality in the light! 😂👍

I have two OPs
One 39mm blue dial and one 41mm green dial. Both from ADs. This one you are presenting is elegant and beautiful. My collection now stands at 20 pieces, 13 Rolex, 6AP and a cartier Santos! I couldn’t resist showing off lol.

I have a green dial jumbo that I could sell for three to four times what I paid for it…. I also have a blue dial 41mm Royal Oak chrono which are going for close to 100k….Much like 90% of my pieces.
I would rather own them than have cash… that just gets gobbled up with inflation,.. unless you want to go gamble on the stock market with the proceeds….
So, really 8 am not sure your “question” is correct.
There is nothing like wearing a ss blue dial sky dweller or a black dial daytona. Just two great examples of the watches I own.
I would also suggest precious metals… gold is in a bit of a “slump” at the moment. There are some great investment opportunities atm. With no VAT and no CGT on watches and investment gold you reallly can’t go wrong.

I have the same issue with watch drift in the same direction, to the outside of my wrist. I always would wonder why and what I could do to help prevent it from happening. Even if I make a strap or bracelet tight to my wrist it happens. I'll move the links as you do, hopefully it will help. I have a 7.5 inch wrist. Thanks for the help.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, great purchase of your beautiful new OP. I'm not a fan of the vibrant colors, I like the more classy, mature, elegant and understated watch dial.

Hi Oisin. great video. You’ve changed my mind from the black dial to this one. Tremendous. It’s a treat to myself for succeeding in my businesses, and hitting 50 next year. Doubt I’ll get one in time though. Would an AD pay any attention to a “new customer” with a true desire to enter the brand and actually keep their watches as opposed to profiteering off them?
geez that dial looks phenomenal! im really lusting over an oyster perpetual ATM either the Blue dial or the one here! the only thing is the lack of a date may disappoint me over time as i find myself glancing over to look at the date quite often for work... i also like the date Just but the double batons at 3 ,6 and 9 on the oyster IMO really make the dial! ... decisions decisions. awesome video mate!

Other than the Daytona and the Explorer, this is the nicest watch Rolex makes in this particular configuration. Its a great looking watch.

I do exactly this on all my watches. Don’t know why watches sit oddly otherwise on my wrist.
