Comrades , as far as the Afghan situation is concerned, many (international) commentators warn of civil war in Afghanistan. We hope and pray that there will be no civil war.
Afghan people have been suffering immensely from war for decades. Pashtuns on this side of the Durand line have also suffered from this war. Th war on both sides of the line is connected.
Whenever there has been war in Afghanistan, it has resulted in widespread death and destruction. Afghans on both sides of the line have paid a heavy toll. We now hope that there will be no war anymore.
People of Afghanistan have the right to decide their future. The will of Afghans should be allowed to prevail. After a long and devastating war, all stakeholders must respect the Afghans’ opinion and decision. External interference must stop immediately.
The external actors should refrain from stirring up unrest keeping the war ablaze.
The decision to withdraw US was welcomed by many, including Afghans and the Afghan government. The Americans are leaving, but the Afghans are going nowhere. It is their country and they live there. Continuity of the Afghan conflict will affect the whole region. Peace in Afghanistan is in everyone’s interest.
First of all we pray that the Afghan conflict will not escalate. But in case, it does, then all Pashtuns need to continue their struggle against war and for raise our voice for peace, security and prosperity on all Afghan Pashtun soil.
Peace in Afghanistan means peace in the region. We call on the regional powers to support the peace process and refrain from war. Afghans are fed up with the war.
Everyone should respect the will of the Afghan people. Peace in Afghanistan will bring peace to Pashtuns on this side of the ‘line’ and to the whol region. So our efforts for peace will continue.
