    Thank you so much for this explanation of brick stitch around a bead. If it makes you feel better, as you did many takes to get the right info on tape, I have come back several times to review this as well. I start something and think I know how, only to get all turned around and have to relearn it again. Thank you - your tutorials are great!!

    This is what I want to learn. I've seen so many that have a leather backing that looks so bulky. Thank you.

    I cannot tell you how happy I was to see that your thread kinked and it caused the bead to go wonky. I have had this same problem for years and did not know what caused it. You showed me how to solve the problem. Make the thread unkink and the bead sit straight. I have been hiding the wonky bead for years. No more! Your work is always so pretty. Thanks.

    My beaded earrings often are warped or wavy. Should I be using some kind of wire or glue. Maybe I am pulling things too tight? Thank you.
    I love your videos your work looks very classy.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  Před 5 lety

      Thank you 🙏 Wavy brick stitch is usually due to pulling too tight. Sometimes if the number of beads used around isn’t enough or too much it can cause the piece to look wavy. Hope this helps 😊

    Hi! I used a pearl and completed everything to the end of the first row with delicas, but my row slides on my bead. Is there a trick to getting the initial threads around and through the bead tighter? Thanks so much for this great tutorial!

      Practice, practice, practice is what it takes to master brick stitch. Loosen your tension, try different sized beads for a better fit. I’m always amazed when my brick stitch around a bead turns out well 🤣😜😊 Flat brick is so much easier but I love stitching around a bead so keep playing wit it💕

    G'Day Stephanie, They may have been made to show a method but what "charming little earrings" they are and I love the colours in both pairs. The finished one could be a matching earring for our bracelet perhaps? Thank you for your kind words and encouragement from your last video. The "nightmare" necklace has been down grade to "problem" necklace. Comparing it to the Cyclone Scale (Hurricanes to you Northern Lighters) It's gone from being - a 5 to a 2 - still causing havoc but starting to weaken in annoyance. It may survive yet and at this stage will only be shown to a very few and very selective group of people. At the moment I have to stop buying beads for a while and I don't have a very large bead collection to make various designs as well has trying to get the "the little old grey cells" to create designs as you and my other Northern Lights ladies. Cost wise to set it up is out of reach for me at the moment. I will just keep watching my friends videos and enjoy making (and some times adding or altering their designs- with their permission of course!!!) but I will certainly keep practising and perfecting my own designs. Hope to have the necklace finished with in the next few days. Not sure how I can show you but I can send it to JP's page through email. Looking forwarded to that gorgeous Herringbone stitched bracelet! Love from Down Under - Chris.

      Hi Juliet! Thank you for the nice comment 😄😃🌼The blue bead is a Blue Goldstone that I had in my stash. Try FireMountain Gems or any bead website or even Amazon. Good luck and if I find one I'll let you know 😃

    I do this around larger beads like 16- 22 mm and my accent beads are often 4 mm is there a way to prevent it from bending ...or is that because I am using bigger beads? any input would be nice.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  Před 8 lety

      Hi Jimmy :) Could be the beads or possibly your tension. Are you keeping an even tension on your work? Depends too on how much you are beading around the center stone. If you like, you can message me a picture on Facebook and I'll take a look. Facebook link is under materials list :)

    A thought on how to stay in frame. I watched some tutorials by a woman who marked a little "x" on her work mat right where the camera frame was centered so she knew that whatever she was working on had to be above that little "x" in order to stay in frame. 🙂

    G'Day my "wonderful" beading Lady, Great news (for me at least) my beads have "ARRIVED". They must have read my post to you and decided that they had better take it off the "slow plane" and put it on a"fast jet". I have nearly finished it and don't worry if you feel a few earth tremors - its just my "excitement" at finishing it. I can hardly wait to show it off. Once again "thank you for doing it for me".Off now to finish it. Big hugs from Down Under. Chris.

      Chris! I wore our bracelet today and when the sun peeked out it sparkled like the night sky! That's what I love about Blue Goldstone - the daylight makes it sparkle like stars at night! Ha funny little man made stone : ) I'm glad to hear you are making progress with your design. Maybe one day you will share your talent! Until then keep designing and creating.
