Blessings sah! Great content, was just looking at booking this spot in October. Price is reasonable and watching your video shows everything about the resort 😊
Your assessment of the food and the price is spot on! How was the beach area? They had a massive clean up initiative going on whilst I was there, hope they kept it in place.
@@cornwallianlive the beach her is where the value is. I need to be right by the beach and I appreciate the semi private area this hotel has. I also felt safe and secured here being that I was traveling alone with a child. I will be going back soon and the food was not a big issue for me cause there are plenty of restaurants near by
@maquillamelily212 The beach is definitely a major draw! If a major hotelier gets their hands in this place it could really be something special. The downside of that would be the price skyrocketing 😆
This hotel is a hidden gem! I was a bit reluctant to share it at first because folks always ruin a good thing. However, it's not in my nature to be selfish, so here we are 😆. You should definitelycheck it out if you are ever on that side of the world. Can't go wrong for the price either
@@cornwallianlive I will definitely be on that side of the world..... I'm getting closer to retirement and will be able to move around frequently and freely !!
@@cornwallianlive no, is like 15 minutes in by the baseball academies. Is like a mini resort with horses, animals, carriages, pools, villas. They have day passes which I recommend instead of staying overnight. The food and drinks are expensive, NYC prices. It’s new so you feel like you’re the only guest after the day pass people leave. It’s called Brunei Boutique Hotel but it’s huge
I'm planning a trip for this November. My flight will go to SDQ, so I was thinking of staying at Hotel Maison Gauteaux for 3 nights then head to Whala Bavaro for another 3 nights then back to SDQ for a flight home. Any advice?
It's the perfect itinerary except the stay at Hotel Maison Gautreaux, I would not recommend it to you as a I am assuming female traveling solo. It's really budget friendly ($30) a night but it may be a bit too rough and tumble for your liking. Are you going to Whala Bavaro or Whala Boca Chica? I can tell you how to get to Whala Bavaro without paying $150 for a taxi
OK, where is a good stay in Santo Domingo then? I want to be close to the Colonial Zone and where I can do several activities. I was thinking Whala Bavaro because I want to go to Punta Cana. I'm really just looking for an affordable all-inclusive stay in Punta Cana.
@@shantel_moneek There are regular buses etc. And a great bus option to take you to Whala Bavaro..are you going to Whala Bavaro or Whala Boca Chica?. Whala Bavaro is like 3 1/2 hours away from SDQ and Whala Boca Chica is 15 minutes. I can tell you how to get to Whala Bavaro from your hotel in Santo Domingo via a clean air-conditioned bus for under $10. It's a charter bus for locals and tourists. However, subscribe to the channel, we are giving you all the inside info 😄
Bottled water is recommended, The Dominican Republic's record for "safe" tap water is not the best. However, I never got sick at any point from the water, ice or food.
Funny you asked that question because I never quite found out why the wristbands were of different colours. I believe it had something to do with my room category and to differentiate that my stay was fully All Inclusive.

Glad you like the content and found it helpful. Thank you.
I stayed here in January with my 5 year old. I enjoyed. The price was on the low side for that month. The food is bad but if you’re hungry it will do

I also stayed that month in the newly opened upscale Brunei hotel in Boca Chica by the baseball academies. Very pretty but lonely

Don't they have regular buses over there? Or only chartered buses?
I'll be travelling with my sister. I've been to rough and tumble 🤣 As long as there's no gun violence and robberies and such.
