COLLAPSE // LYRICS
Collapse
We fold in difficult fashion, pinions clipped and forgotten
So we grow fray and suffer the cold
Like a shiver inside our own reason
Your feigned regard a frozen lake
I’ll leave you trapped, I hope your winter never ends
Replicated errors, we smash against these glaciers of mistakes
Replicated errors, and as summers melt we just
Find ourselves drowning in the flood
We melt away at the summers heat, stuck between
Our own ideas in paralyzed nights we kick and turn in searing waves
Like hollow shells, dread echoes inside
Reverberate in infinity, reverberate in infinity
Replicated errors, we smash against these glaciers of mistakes
Replicated errors, and as summers melt we just find ourselves
Drowning in the flood
We smash against these glaciers of mistakes
And find ourselves drowning in the flood
Smash against these glaciers of mistakes
And find ourselves drowning in the flood

This band has the most badass riffs in the world
+narkune myyyyyy man
+narkune nope. not even close.
Periphery. Pure-Riffery
no way the best guitar riffs have many notes but yes they are original
+narkune girly shit
One does not simply Djent into Mordor.
That was epic, dude! lol
aaaaaaaahahahaaaaaa
if u think about meshuggah was djent before it even began
James Parks yeah they kinda invented the genre kinda like how Soilwork, In Flames, and Dark Tranquility influnced the the vocal style of screaming, clean chorus, scream, clean chorus.
Macklenot One has to bring the weight of 1000 blackholes and some A.T.B to decimate anything that stands in your way!
This video is literally fire.
+Andrew Baena More like a flaming pile of... something.
+Andrew Baena Did someone say fire?
+Endo Dude your name sucks
Matthew Punk 2012 Thanks. You're quite the special snowflake yourself.
Endo Of course darling.
Worked in the music industry for 13 yrs, have seen well over 4000 different acts... this was the cleanest sounding live metal show I've ever heard
They are so tight live
One of the absolute greatest
My boys sound just like the record, no one misses a beat or a note with these guys. We await their return to Santa Ana
good guys too. I saw a man blow out his right knee in the pit, these guys stopped the show for 5 min to get him out of the area, before replaying the song too.
Absolutely disgusting
when u play in a band and accidentaly enter oblivion
these guys need to get the amulet to jauffre ASAP
+Mantis Toboggen So you know
Instead of Satan you get Mehrunes Dagon lol
It's the "amulet of kings" idiot
that literally made me laugh out loud
Are these grooves even legal?
we fold in difficult fashion!
we melt away at the summers heat!!!!!
Michael De Santa wtf michael from gta? Why do u have him as ur user name?
Michael De Santa idk lol depends are you even a real person XD
Michael De Santa are they even human?
Only Trevor listens to this kind of music, Michael
They have a good mix of brutal throaty screams, tight complex guitar
solo's and bombastic drumming, with some djent timing. Great stuff.
Cody Chavez 🤔 you’re correct tho
Djenty Deathcore best way I can describe it
All I know is this shit slaps hard as fuuuuck 🔥
Classic metalcore sound
I'm here because I just saw them live and I can't believe I never heard them til now. This song live was so sick.
that breakdown at the end.. put a big smile on my face. best breakdown I've heard.
+Damien Noftsier you don't listen to the devil wears prada, do you...
I do. I have for years
+Luffy Joke Central lmao wtf?! Are u implying tdwp has better breakdowns? Lol!!!!
Jake Frye Gloom, first sight, sailor's prayer, number eleven, martyrs, alien, dead throne, my questions, escape, anatomy, outnumbered, lord Xenu...you're welcome if you do happen to give any of these songs a listening session.
Luffy Joke. So you're gonna mention Prada but give no examples from Plagues or Dear Love? K.
They played this live at last show. Pit went 28 days later nuts during outro breakdown
Hahahaha 28 days later nuts
jajajaja peligroso Ese desvergue
+B Razz for that outro, thats an adequate amount of nuts.
+HammersmashedTaco Yes sir it is...
At the Chicago show, i got sucked into the pit during the outro breakdown. this song live is something to experience!
3:30 made me want to tear down my house with my own two hands
2023 now, and the riffs and djenty grooves of this song still hold up. I mean seriously, that riff on the intro can only be described as intricately violent chaos. Fucking love this shit 🤘🏻🔥
SUMERIAN, GOD DAMN IT PUT THE WHOLE ALBUM ON SPOTIFY
It's on Amazon Music. I know it's not the same, but it's better than streaming CZcams constantly.
spotify is pissing me the fuck off..Bruce Dickinson`s "Accident of Birth" disappered
Daniel Crumpton tell me about it brother walls of blood by glen drover too
Back in my day we had a solution to this problem. We bought the cd. Supported the band. And they need that now more than ever. These guys don’t make much.
Buy albums nub
This band is hands down 1 of the very few that stays consistent they changed my whole perspective on metal core I have been lucky enough to have seen them live 3 times I highly recommend atb if u are a true metal head u will be in love
3:32 .... Thats some tough shit right there.
Vildhjarta
I jizz uncontrollably when I hear this part of the song.... every time.
its kind of a vildhjarta thing... man what happened to that band? They had that one meshuggah killing album then its all acoustic shenanigans after that :/
tell me about it. I got super pissed when someone interrupted that part for me today. thankfully I have the privilege of listening on CZcams!
lol when I listen to that album I'm like more riffs less acoustic shit!
I don't care what people say. Trent really stepped it up with his guitar Solo's on this album. DAMN! But seriously R.I.P. Justin Lowe. We miss you.
Probably one of theeee most technical drummers I’ve ever witnessed 🤘🏻🔥
Probably their most fast paced and relentless track on the album. So damn good. It just does not let up
I bet there was a demon behind the camera thinking yes, more darkness, less flame.
Lmao fr
absolutely, rhythms like these conjoined to one wave is out of this world
absolutely, rhythms like these conjoined to one wave is out of this worl
vhjkcghk all the flame made me feel like this was filmed on at attraction at Knotts Berry Farm
vhjkcghk this comment is more accurate than you guys even know
I have relied solely on this song to cure my depression. I'm still here so it I call it a success. Thanks bros
Fucking determined by mudvayne works too. Enjoy
Thank you for your service
The drummer Is incredibly underrated. It’s a crime.. he is very good
SoundScape Central -I think he's pretty awesome too✌🙂🤘
Yeah bro, those kick pedals are beyond filthy.
Thomas Haake might have a worthy successor if he ever stops playing. Love them grooves
I played this for my lizard
*He's a dragon now*
The new After The Burial album shreds, damn. I love those fire effects as well.
Do you mean fire as in the element or fire as in the moronic new age slang?
Zach Elliott The fire special effects. I am too old for new age slang, bruh.
+Vheissu bruh? That's new age slang.
+Vheissu You know justin helped write this CD....
+it's CODY Actually I believe they just used some of his riffs. I believe he went missing before they started recording. Check out the metal sucks podcast with the lead singer. It was pretty good. Kind of sad at times
Someone really needs to make a 10-hour loop video of the breakdown of this song.
Seems they got so metal they're making music in Mehrunes Dagon Realm of Oblivion now.
Cause Satan wasn't fuckin enough Lmfao
Lavaalamp Haha i thought the same thing. The arch looks like an oblivion gate.
No Daedra though. Someone needs to generate CPU versions of these with videos Skyrim and Oblivion themes.
Oblivion best elder scrolls ;>
At least have two Fire Atronachs head banging in the background
I remember listening to this band back in high school. I come back 8 years later and I find theyre still putting out sick stuff.
lol, the drummer is like a robot
+gac3la Dan is a piece of iron. A hero we don't deserve @dan carle
+gac3la you kind of have to be with music this technical...
+gac3la Have you heard the song "Pi (The Mercury God Of Infinity)".... Look up the meaning of the drum beat. Only then will you know what kind of a robot he truly is. THE DUDE IS NOT HUMAN!
+gac3la The way metal drummer needs to be, you can hear the metronome training and tightness coming from his hands.
+VetteManRob123 Dude...that's Eriksen...their original drummer :) But i reckon this guys is a monster too.
3:32 is where the true epicness starts
3:50 "WE SMAAAASHHH UR KIIIIIDDDS"
Its "we smash against, these glaciers of mistakes" but I heard the exact same thing and had to look it up 😂
PHRASING.EXE
Incredible composition, I love the pauses along the whole song and the way riffs become more and more progressive along the track with a lot of amazing breakdowns!
Definitely one of my new favourites!
When I grow up I want to be more like these guys!
Calmest drummer I've ever seen
Saw these guys twice this year! Still ripping! Still some of the cleanest harsh vocals.
can't image the band looking at that video and thinking: "this is awesome, exactly what we wanted"
LOL!
just glad we didn't have to wait 5 years for this one !
5 years later
You still listening?
After almost 10 years of searching for a good new band to listen to, I finally came across these guys.
I think I finally found another group I can get into.
I tried so many others, and they fail to remain consistently enjoyable.
The bands I've gotten deep into are ones like, #1 Carnifex, then others like As Blood Runs Black, Sons of Azrael, From the Shallows, etc, but most are either disbanded, or whatever.
The only band that has stayed consistent, and is by far my favorite is Carnifex, but After the Burial might be the new group I can enjoy alongside Carnifex.
So, thank you, your music is very good.
I am feeling the Juice on this so much.
+Hank Hill how did i know i would find hank here. BWAAAAAHHHH.
+Hank Hill Dude. You're all over metal videos lol took you more for a country guy.
Chris Peterson
Well when I realized country is all the same song with different people singing I decided I would move on to other things.
+Chris Peterson he obviously appreciates metal seeing that it contains the propanes.
What flavour?
Sure wish theyd put this on spotify already..its been months since it came out.
right????
Or you could just buy it.....
Streaming is much more convenient.
I bought the album day 1, but I still want it on Spotify. I listen to around 90% of my music on Spotify these days. The only place I play CDs is in my car.
Buying a physical copy sounds better and actually supports the band more than a few cents, and if you're willing to spend 5 minutes, you can put the album on your phone so you can listen at any time. Even easier than Spotify at that point.
BROOOO this is so amazing, I cannot stop listening to this song, the chorus is SOOOOO addictive
i absolutely love the solo in this song. so jazzy. the main riff is awesome too.
1:58 until 2:10 is my favorite part. The tempo change on the drums. The bend on guitar. Makes it punch soooo much harder
AMAZING MUSIC...!!! AWESOME BAND...!!! 🤘🏼😎👍🏼
That's how you start an album!
PLEASE put the album on Spotify already.
After The Burial deserves better videos with higher production quality.
totally agree, this looks like homemade
It looks like they are performing inside an Oblivion gate.
Same graphics detail too
+eternalRest 343 by the nine! talos guide us!
This whole album is a banger start to end
That breakdown is heavier than a Waylord.
Rui Carneiro Breakdown is heavier than my burdens.
Its heavier than most Americans
man it's like getting rammed by a freight train
Even without Justin, this band continues to kick ass. Amazing song and video!
Why has it taken me so long to realise how brilliant this band is?
The breakdown at the end is ILLEGAL
My misses brought me here, time to marry her!!!! \m/
gount gount gount ta gount gount
defs man
super sick af
And it was this moment in time when he knew, he fucked up.
MetalheadMontana Did you marry her?
weight lifting to this shit is absolutely amazing!
cardio is bad ass as well.
David McDonald just don't run to the beat
fuck cardio m8
Dana Respress Since this album's release, my deadlift 1-rep max has gone from 455 to 585. 🤔
I jerk off furiously to this as well
THIS BAND FOREVER WILL BE IN MY HEART I LOVE U GUYS
SO........HEAVY.
Anyone else get a huge Vildjharta vibe in that last breakdown?
I contracted cholera from how sick these riffs are
LMFAO
From thee moment " you guys " (AFTER THE BURIAL) step foot onto the stage till you walk off (Live) is without a doubt hands down bangin' dam good!!!!
My favorite was RAREFORM ACROSS THE CONTINENT TOUR w/The Acacia Strain
Bass is simply brilliant. Dances like a monster in that low end!
I liked the video, it wasn't as bad as Born of Osiris. BUT it would've been better if they had a full band shot of them throwing down on that last breakdown or something else that made it hit harder
This whole album is raw as hell. Love it. Break shit!
I love the riffs in the beginning and toward the end. Very melodic. Djent is a very underrated genre of metal
That breakdown is simply unforgiving lol. Incredible stuff guys!
Jason Richardson should join After The Burial.
i second this notion
Any good guitarist honestly. We need two 8-strings on stage, lol.
that will be my greatest christmas gift.
Nah. Justin can never be replaced. The only people I could see joining ATB live is Charles Caswell (Berried Alvie, ex Reflections) or Josh Travis.
Mr. Yeet Josh is with emmure now
i love this band and this new album is exactly what i could have hoped for, but honestly all i can think about when i hear them is justin lowe. RIP, Justin. You deserved better.
Saw these guys live at warped about a week ago, this song sounded amazing live
Just got into these guys been making my rounds from older albums and loving this band.
Lol. Reminds me of the cheesy 2000's graphics that Born of Osiris used in their music video "Illuminate". Sick fucking song though!
CGI graphics *
Lol. No
+Please be djentle Because these bands have 300K to drop on videos
Love the guitar work on this song. I was hoping to actually be able to SEE the instruments, but whatever. 5/7 video. 8/8 song. 7/5 album and 13/8 band. 5/5 memes.
+Tristan Mahler LOL
+Tristan Mahler XDDDDDDDDD made my day
+Tristan Mahler π /1
+Tristan Mahler and not to forget, a 4/4 time signature
911 was a conspiracy
that solo has the ole alex lifeson magic!
Is the best solo ever
This music video is metal as fuck
I wish they didn't have to make me associate this badass song with a third grade video.
i swear you guys are always getting better and better cant wait to see you guys perform again
I'm just now hearing this song and...my goosebumps have goosebumps.
saw my little brother go ape shit to the ending of this song last night at their show and he's maybe 5'8 and like 110 pounds. music can make even the smallest people fucking throw down, he even got some fist bumps and high fives from the biggest dudes in the pit
This is greatness in whatever genre this is ❤
genre is kpop just so you know
Theres that saying "third times a charm" and boy have ATB come out swinging with this album. With the start of the new year and untimely death of Rhythm guitarist Justin Lowe, it seemed like the remaining members wanted to make a statement album regarding death and all those emotions one faces dealing with the aftermath of losing someone close. Despite only 9 songs on the album, each song is just as hard hitting as the one before. Songs like Laurentian Ghosts, Catacombs, The Endless March, Sway of the Break, show the bands maturity/creativity while songs like Collapse, Lost in the Static, Deluge and Mire will bring a tear to any longtime fan who has been there since the beginning. From several interviews I've watched, it definitely seems like the remaining members made this album as a Eulogy to the loss of Justin, and if this is true it surely is a brilliant testament to there comrade who contributed so much before his untimely death. My personal favorite tracks are Collapse and Laurentian Ghosts while the two breakout songs that show the bands progression, influence and technicality are Heavy Lies the Ground ( ending sounds like a love letter to Meshuggah) and Catacombs. Last but not least, the production value is top notch, each instrument is placed perfectly creating a groove that any metal head or newcomer for that matter will have no trouble head-banging too. I'm a sucker for great metal albums(which is hard to find the past years with so many bands trying to achieve the same sound/stealing the sound from another), maybe its also good timing but After the Burial have put out something magical.. you know an album is special when it strikes a chord emotionally whether you can relate to it personally or just want in on the ride, you won't be disappointed.. I can't stress it enough, if you are looking for an unapologetic face-melter then just Dig Deep.
Best way to experience album: good sound system, car stereo, headphones(to appreciate all the little nuances you can't hear on CZcams/computer)
Rating: ******(8)/********(10)
this is a fantastic album and only reason its not rated higher is because it's still way too early to decide if it is a game changer for the genre, or what its impact will have years down the line.. Rareform and Forging a Future Self have both had a great shelf life so you never know..

+Anthony Baruch Longest youtube comment ever. Savage.
As a lifelong metal fan of the past 40 years im gonna say something controversial, but 3:26 is getting into Pantera levels of bad assery, well done
That last section of the song is the right amount of unpredictable. Not too chug chug CHuuuuuh. Chuhgga chuggaaa and not too "1001 00 10001 0010 1111 100 100" Its tasty. ;D
The guitar riffs in this song are so sick you would swear they had Covid 19.
Don't ever do that again
ahahGah
covid doesn't make you that sick, it's joke
This is one hell of a song.
have to listen to this song at least once a day...never gets old!
Mm, that riff at 3:24 thoughhh.
how old are you?
Really though
+Michael Herrington 20
+Amber Marie okay. The reason why I asked you was because I think you are pretty I just didn't want to say that to someone still in highschool. I'm 19 btw.
+Michael Herrington need some water, man?
Not the strongest song in the album, but I'm proud to see this band marching forward with a music video. They should have used "Ghosts" or "Heavy Lies the Ground". Either way, make sure you financially support ATB and pick up dig deep.
Thanks for the amazing album!
Best Band the last decade no doubt. Can't believe they burned down the towns and forests of Cobb, CA and Middletown, CA, my home county, just to record this. Brutal.
How people can think metal sucks and that they can't get amped as hell to it is beyond me.. I'd fucking kill myself without metal. I could live without every other kind of music.
"noisy" music
Same fam
Wow!!
COLLAPSE!!!!!!!!!
Just loop the last breakdown for hours, too good.
damn they are pissed! !
After The Effects
Great video for a great song from a great album
They go hard. Perfect.
So this is what goes on inside a fire. Explains a lot
But does it Djent?
Definitely
Is your djent tuned low?
are you deaf?
@Some Kind of Master Can you play it like a robot?
Do u have ears
Where have these guys been all my life lol this band is pretty sick me likey
Watching this guy sing makes me see how bros are sneaking their way into death metal.
Who gives a shit what they look like. It's about the music.
Don't get me started on their sound.
no one cares about your shitty opinion anyway. that's why you post it on the internet because no one gives a shit about you in real life. You sound uninspired.
David McDonald, Except you care because here you are and I guess that also means nobody gives a shit about you in real life either because again here you are. Excuse me for not liking the simpleton version of metal.
I am here because i have notifications on my phone and i like the song. (Not because i care about your opinion) I cant believe I actually had to explain that for you to understand it. (Talk about simpleton) your logic is unsound. You tried to draw parallels in our behavior, but only made more assumptions. Were done here.
