The only thing I dont like is how the infantry is totally exposed, they should be taking cover on the sides of the street, behind walls, barriers and etc while shooting at the tripod.

Putting the Tripods up against WW1-era British troops would make for an interesting scenario based on the book.

Oh man, can this do warships? Because the clash with Thunder Child would be great to see. Lone warship defends fleeing refugees with it's life.

with how hellicopters work in this im sure it wouldnt be impossible to make something like a dropship or even possibly a larger warship that can shoot and fly around since it could be coded to work like a helicopter with some different anims n stuff.

I love these videos you should do one with some jets though , or maybe show other armies fighting the tripods , like the untied kingdom , Russian federation , Germany maybe as well .

These are great videos. Although this was definitely that best choice in terms of introducing the tripods to the game at hands, it would be interested to see a version where the "tripods" in the 1953 version were rendered. I am not a programmer, but I think it would be a lot easier because there is no tripod actions. The only moving part of the tripod would be it's snake-like neck.

This mod should include the robots of Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Iron Giant and the monsters of Pacific Rim.
Cloverfield, King Kong, Godzilla as well.
I think that first battle was cool but theres just no way the military would go close-quarters with an alien ship armed with lasers no matter how friendly it looked.

Have you ever played or heard of Command And Conquer Red Alert
It's an old classic Strategy game that ea destroyed lol
It would be interesting to watch a vehicle operator try to use pop and shoot tactics, and flanking, especially in the nimbler wheeled vehicles, since the buildings don't seem to be destroyed by tripod fire. That Humvee with a TOW could have survived a long time. Given a thousand reloads, diesel fuel, and a bathroom break or two, perhaps a quick trip to a nearby drive-thru for lunch, it might have been a real threat to the tripods. 🙂
