As a former (and sometimes still casual) wrestling fan, this was funny, especially the “did you see SmackDown last night?”. My 7 year old is REALLY into wrestling now. I don't know what started it. I despise it. But he did think it was completely real until I had a talk with him about how it is a mix between acting, choreography, and actual wrestling...that the "enemies" are coworkers, that it is a form of entertainment and not serious. Unfortunately there are so many thousands of people who take the "drama" and storylines of wrestling very seriously.

Okay, I love Tom but no wrestling fans think it's real... literally NOBODY who watches and it enjoys it (like me) actually believes its a real fight. We like it in the same way that we like to watch fight scenes in films. Literally 100% of wrestling fans know it's "fake", to the point that most of us are even more interested in the behind the scenes reality of the business. Wrestlers talk in what are called "shoot" interviews where they tell the real stories about what goes on behind the show between the performers, and those shoot videos often get more view online than any of the matches. That's why there are so many wrestling podcasts BY wrestlers. We all know it's just a scripted show. It's more retarded that non fans (like tom) ACTUALLY believe and have themselves convinced that wrestling fans think it's a real fight.
