I followed this video and bought a T8 custom and fitted an rpm increaser on this. Its even good for a worn SG wheel, you will enjoy the increased rpm as the wheel gets smaller which means less circumference speed.
    Thanks for the tip.

Not had to replace my 80 yet, but since it does all the hardest jobs (including reprofile) it is the most worn down… Getting closer to a 160. By following a grit progression (like you do too) it means only the lowest grits will ever really wear out, except over a very long time frame.
Glad you’re enjoying the RPM increaser, and good point that it helps to balance out the reduced speed of a smaller SG250.

What is the outer diameter of the bush?

Having used an rpm increaser for a while I do agree with the potential benefits. However for higher end knives I have removed it because I think it reduces the control you have ( let alone the water spillage). Sometimes slow is good. Having said that, I keep it on for honing on the leather wheel and I think it’s very proficient for that. Good video again Brad, thank you.
