Metro North Trains on the Hudson River!

All aboard! This week, we're back on the East Coast of the USA to take a look at some Metro North commuter trains as they run up and down the Hudson River! We'll visit several scenic locations along this beautiful rail line. Train equipment is a mix of electrically powered self propelled cars, called electrical multiple units (EMU for short) and locomotive hauled trains, pulled by P32ACDM locomotives. These locomotives can either pick up electrical power from the electrified third rail or they can run off the onboard diesel motor. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Metro North trains on the Hudson!

Excellent (as always) footage. Watching this video really hit home with me. I was an engineer with Metro North for 22 years and I used to love running trains on the Hudson line, especially between Harmon and Poughkeepsie.

Although I wasn't alive at the time, I really love seeing old footage of the Hudson Line, back when FL9s ran practically all the trains on the Metro North and Amtrak. I was born about a couple of years after Amtrak retired their fleet, but just imagine how cool it would be to see them in the modern day...
