its usually 3-4 months in advance as per my knowledge, but influx of students might have increased 3 months to 6 months

Bro, could you please tell me do we have to give money in advance or after getting contract, Also, what are differences in sub contract and contract

After you get the contract you have to give the money to the owner... but it depends on owner to owner... because I have signed the contract before coming to Germany and paid money to my owner after coming to Germany. Contract means the main tenant is you.... and sub contract means the main tenant is someone else and he/she is allowing you to stay in their place for the duration they are not living in that room...
