Cassowary Fight

- I witnessed this fight between two adult cassowaries in a National Park picnic area on the Atherton Tablelands. Events unfolded almost on dark.
The individual on the left was hanging around in the dense rainforest on this side of the clearing. The second individual initially came from the forest from the right, crossed the clearing, and disappeared into the rainforest near where the first one was. It wasn't long before the intruder was chased out, and it retreated to the right edge of the clearing.
A Mexican standoff ensued - both cassowaries stood in the open on their respective forest edges and took turns 'booming' repeatedly with heads down. The individual on the right then started moving gradually across the clearing, occasionally running short distances towards the other, then pausing and grooming.
It moved closer and closer, until the events in the video unfolded...

Cassowary claws are no joke, the fact that they took a few swings from eachother and then ran away as if nothing happened is pretty amazing
You'd be surprised how bullet proof they are... Same as emus . Look it up. Their feathers have been known to stop bullets.

The funny thing that people don't realize is, these animals would devastate velociraptors. One kick would be the whole story of any raptor. So can you imagine how funny dinosaurs must have been? Lmao
The raptors had sickle claws on their feet, sharp teeth, and hunted in packs. A lone one would have a size disadvantage, but could very well pounce and kill the cassowary by latching on and kicking its feet.

Взять ту же синицу, обычную для срелней полосы, очень жесткий хищник убивающий мелких птиц путем выклёвывания мозга, есть такие видео на Ютубе.
