Great maiden. I've not been bothering with flaps at all ,just high alpha into land. 👍
My first landing was with half flaps and I thought it came down a little hot off power. Do you use power without flaps?
@@RCVideoReviews come down with power in high alpha, no flaps.
Supposed to be landed slow, in mid to very hi alpha. 'Flaps', according to everyone I talked to are to reduce speed on asphalt to slow down. Also, put steering on its own channel, mixed with rudder, & put steering expo at a minimum of 50% to lessen the 'twitchy-ness'
Really wasn’t a fan of these when I first saw it but I have to admit I’m totally won over , that second landing was quite sweet under pressure, nice job 👍
Thank you! :)
What a nice day. Second landing was 10/10
Appreciate it. The Rafale looks GREAT in that high alpha landing attitude. Beautiful plane overall.
Excellent content. You have a great mastery of your subject.. I love it! Thanks for making this. 😊
My pleasure!
Nice flights. that 2nd landing was sweet. The plane looks better in person then it does in the video.
Yeah, big flare as it eased onto the wheels. Beautiful plane.
Amazing fliight John looked pretty locked in and Greasy as ever on second landing .Some great camera work Freddie as always .
Take Care
Thank you Mr. O.
The Assan AG61 steering gyro would help so much on ground handling.
Nice plane! I kinda want one
I'll look into those Dave. Thanks for the tip.
Other channels I'm seeing are saying these aren't flaps but air brakes on landing. Using them robs you of elevator throes - so they've said. Mine is on order so I can't say for myself.
What duel rates and expo would you recommend high rate and low rates im just starting out with edf jets
My 80mm Rafale landing gear is broken and I want to replace it. Where can I open the body? I did not find it
If i had a runway this would be a contender in the fleet
She's a looker!
Gear are perfect on grass. I flew mine on a highly unmanicured field.
Please share the where is the optimal CG spot. Thanks!
I set mine per the book and did not spend time tuning it. Usually when a manual offers CG, I try and split the range. i.e. If they say the range is 100mm to 110mm, I use 105mm.
AS far back as possible with battery placement!!!
Nice plane, taxi slower and don't turn so sharply then the planw wingtips won't scrape...
Yup..got that.
Its funny reading on rcg that flaps dont work good on this jet , but they worked great for you. I always wondered about peoples flying skills.
I'd say they worked quite well. Without them the decent rate off power was a bit hotter. With flaps, just a little kiss of power during the decent and she floated in like a butterfly.
Also what rx are you using in it
ELRS Happymodel EPW6.
@@RCVideoReviewsThose are the same rxs I use my planes
I got this jet used for 150 bucks. virtually brand new the guy flew it twice decided he didn't like it. one of the good things about being a part of a club. I got a eflight viper 90mm for a little over 200 bucks a few weeks ago. while they are good planes, brand new they are over priced.
Sounds like you got a great deal.
Not a fan of this plane
