His dad was the best highschool player in 2001 2002. Went to the nba and got hurt. I had the privilege of being his competition in the 90s as a 7th to 10th grader. He liked my game so much he got me on a aau team and thats when i knew he was big time and had clout. He had the east coast going crazy dunking from the foul line as a guard barely 6 ft. On big centers.

Nah he hone be in the league but nobody holds a freshman spot that long unless u emoni, by time senior year he still gone top 5 but somebody else gone pass him up
Probably not. It's rare that players hold on to top rankings for all of high school. The earlier rankings consists mostly of players that play for high profile teams or that have hit the radar nationally. As time goes on scouts get a chance to know more players in the class including international talent. Many of the best programs traditionally give little playing time to freshmen & sophomores. And some that jump up the ranks will be late bloomers that get a sudden growth spurt... The one thing you'll notice about the Top5 is that they tend to be of exceptional physical size for their position and/or athletically gifted. That's what gives them the projected higher ceiling. He's highly skilled and seems like he will be of good physical size & athleticism but not great and definitely not of unique.

Man, this young bull is the truth because he is so humble. I played with his grandfather Milt with the Miami Heat free agent camp and he was the same way. Our family spiritual father is Billy Thompson who played at Camden as well, they are all very solid people. I really think this is what makes him number one is the guidance along with the talent is going to make him a superior talent and appreciate everything that comes his way. Also, his father was a shooting guard but undersized however a killer who scored 100 points in a game and his grandfather was a big guard, but I really think he takes the best attributes from them two and you got one helluva player.
I’m old enough to have seen his father be the killer he always mentions here... even if DJ isn’t the same killer, he’s still gonna be alright. He’s a blessed kid; humble, relaxed and focused. Good Job Juanny & Mom’s.
