  • Twenty-six years ago, 9-year-old Amber Hagerman went to ride bikes with her brother Ricky in their hometown of Arlington, Texas and she never came back. While her case was never solved, the little girl’s legacy has been a long one - inspiring the Amber Alerts that have since helped more than 1,000 children return home.

    I remember that a woman was interviewed after the little girl was found and she said “why there is weather reports and alerts in the news but not an alert when a child goes missing?” And that’s why the Ambar alert was created in her name.RIP Amber , I hope the responsible for this gets caught.

    They should exhume the mans remains, the man who said he witnessed the kidnapping. He should be the main person of interest being HE WAS THE LAST PERSON TO SEE HER ALIVE, so how did they eliminate him as a witness? I read in the comments he was an ex cop. They should also interview his family and see how he was acting after her body was found. If it were my family, I would not care if they exhume my loved ones remains especially if there was a possibilty they were involved in a childs rape and death...and I just read the report. What the witness said does not sit right with me. He said, “He pulled up, jumped out and grabbed her. When she screamed, I figured the police ought to know about it, so I called them.” Jimmie Kevil, ex navy an sheriffs deputy, saw her riding her bike alone up and down, then minutes after her brother left saw her get kidnapped and "figured" the police ought to know about it." Something is not right with that.

    I would go back to the documentary makers. There was no evidence of sexual abuse, she was obviously targeted. Someone seemed to know where she would be. Who had the most to gain? A documentary about a family on welfare, or the very first documentary in history to see a real life murder happening whilst being filmed? Which would make the most money? Now, with the new documentary featuring some of that footage, even more money can be collected.

    They should issue an amber alert for a child that is missing no matter what I don't care if they think their just missing or not those children deserve the same amber alert as the ones who were taken. Cause someone could have seen them to

    • @SheilaLS
      @SheilaLS Před rokem

      The limitation is difficult and frustrating but the idea of issuing one is that there are details on a vehicle/vehicle plate and/or person for the public to look for. It started out on the highway signs. If they issue an alert too often when there is no way the public can help the fear is that people may stop paying attention to Amber Alerts or shut the phone notification off altogether. The Amber Alert doesn't really have to do with what the police think has happened. It's whether they can provide details that can help the public find the child.

    • @countrymom2023
      @countrymom2023 Před rokem

      @@SheilaLS I'm sorry that I can't agree with you cause I'm a mom of 3 and as a mother my kids would deserve the same. Amber alert as anybody else cause kids get curious and wonder off they could walk by somebody or have been seen walking somewhere it shouldn't matter because either way somebody somewhere could very well have seen a missing child no matter what...... you can give details of what they were wearing what color clothes they have on plum down to the kind and color of their shoes hair and eyes it don't have to be a vehicle or a tag number theirs more ways than one to describe a missing child no matter the situation

    • @SheilaLS
      @SheilaLS Před rokem

      @@countrymom2023 Yes they certainly can and do put those descriptions out as they should and search immediately locally but I'm referring specifically to how the Amber Alert was intended. It refers specifically to an abducted child vehicle description and suspect description intended to alert people what to watch for on the roads to help recover the child asap. In this way a much wider area of people can be alerted to watch for that plate etc. I get alerts from vast areas of Texas east of where I live in New Mexico because I live near interstate 10 as well as my own area. It's only one tool used to help but if you broaden its mission it will lose effectiveness. It's not whether a child deserves something. They all deserve to be found and protected. A missing child is not necessarily an abducted child. Someone witnessing a parental or stranger abduction reports the vehicle and suspect information and the Amber Alert is issued. Perhaps something needs to be developed to bridge the gap between local authorities and Amber Alert. I don't know what that would be but I just wish with all my heart kids could be safe and not need any of this.

His eye sight was not the best, and what he did make out, was only the color of the truck, and that it was a Hispanic or white man with dark hair. He died four months later. We should be asking why no one in the laundromat, which was right in that parking lot, ever came forward with anything they saw. At the time, police figured witnesses were afraid of getting deported, but since then, they’ve explicitly stated that they don’t care about immigration status.

    This case sounds similar to the Jennifer Schuett case Amber's case was in 1996 and Jennifer's case was in 1990 Jennifer was 8 years old at the time of her kidnapping Amber was 9 years old at the time of her kidnapping they were both found with their throats cut and both kidnappings happened in Texas Amber was taken in Arlington Texas and Jennifer was taken in Dickinson Texas just 4 hours away from each other and they look identical the differences are that Jennifer was taken from her bedroom window in the middle of the night she was found 12 hours later in a field 4 miles from her house barely alive with her throat cut she survived and her kidnapper was found 19 years later thanks to the advances in forensic DNA testing Amber was taken in the middle of the day while riding her bike in a nearby parking lot just blocks away from her house unfortunately she was dead when the police found her and the person who kidnapped and murder her still hasn't been caught I'm praying that they will be able to find the person who was responsible for Amber's murder and disappearance like they did for Jennifer DNA testing has improved a lot over the years and I'm hopeful that they will be able to solve a lot more cold cases as Technology advances

    The scariest thing to me has always been they never ever got a good look at this creep to provide a sketch no one ever came forward with suspicions of someone. If I recall correctly it didn’t happen again how it happened to amber in AR. The pervert just vanished yet, he’s still out there if he I sn’t rotting in hell yet. Very scary. this is why those animals need to be locked up forever or executed. Still sowing fear in communities especially when they r faceless.

    Think about the future...
    So, Sir what if I told you I can cut the murder rate of children in half within 2 years. Would you be interested?
    Right now, I'm trying to build enough power so I can take over control of our government and justice system and put in effect my new laws. The one that will apply to this case would be called The Shaka Zulu Law.
    This law will state that if a child under the age of 18 is killed or murdered and there is no dead guardian who attempted to protect that child then both biological parents at that dead child funeral will be placed in the grave with their child and buried alive. I promise you once the videos of parents screaming while they are being buried is shown on news stations in 2 years the rate of child murders will be cut in half. This is just one of the laws I will put in effect once I come into power. I have about 6 more. ....................GRIM

    I suspect that the man who made the report about the black truck is most likely responsible for the kidnapping, sexual assault and murder
    he was an ex cop who knew how the investigation would most likely go and he probably used that Black truck as a red herring
    You covet what you see (Silence of the Lambs)... he could see when kids were playing there, and probably had been waiting for someone to be left alone
    Her remains were dumped nearby
    He died two months later
    I don't know if that's ever been looked into but I don't see anything about the cause of his death. Suicide perhaps feeling guilty or that he was afraid of being caught.
