After filming "the King of Shaves" a few episodes back - I had to order the Rockstar from Proboat - I was bitten by the bug of RC GAS POWERED BOATS! The boat cost me $1350 (cad) to my door - but certainly was worth it! Everett soon had to order one when he found out I got one.. and now we both received our boats at the same time! Well - what better an opportunity for us to unbox them for you here on CZcams, so you to can be tempted into this awesome hobby. Granted.. you need a BiG lake to run these..
After the unboxing - we decide to take you guys along for the maiden voyages with us! Unboxing and maiden all in 1 video.. it truly gives you a first hand look at how our first day went with these machines. Everetts was having some trouble.. as the throttle linkage collar and and screw fell apart mid run.. we believe it had to do with vibration, but it was soon dealt with! My boat was running awesome.. and was a lot of fun to blast across the water with. Engine break-in takes a few tanks of fuel .. and we should see these boats really PEP UP!

Great vids guys.
As a auto/bike tech for thirty years and a two stroke lover since birth lol. As soon as a two stroke gets up to temp pin it ! Not for lengthy times but"break in" needs to be hard. As any stretch in rod and rings needs to be at max for "wear in" max tolerances. Two strokes love to run hot but it's a fine edge. Plug colour is a great indicator. Always do a plug read at full throttle tben cut the engine and retrieve the boat and check plug. Happy tuning

Haha loved the ending with Jem and Mac. I am also excited your getting more into boats...i give it 6 weeks before the 5th scale boss talks you into an or widow maker or something of that nature! Great video as always, can't wait for the next running of these things. To make a simple course, take some tennis balls attached to a good length of rope and a brick or some other weight on the other end and paint a few of the balls red and throw them around into your pond. And green balls you pass on the left and red on the right.

I have the blackjack 55 and I absolutely love it after break in and everything because about 68 MPH what engine does it have the whole setup is awesome

Kudos to the product because I dont see a paddle boat in the water yet so they must be reliable. This looks like alot of fun. Did the nitro trucks and cars, and planes but didn't do boats.

I just picked up a rockstar yesterday and I was wondering if you noticed that it seems to lean to the starboard side when in the water...atleast mine does. I think its because the gas tank and the weight on that side.

Word of warning, the survos mite have a problem if they get wet. I work at my local hobby store, Phil's Hoddy Shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We had a guy come in that was fine tuning his Rockstar 48'', he was in shallow water about knee to waist deep when he was bringing it in, it went to full throttle and leeped at him and hit him then a nearby pier post. Splitting the hull, always check your inner water connections.

On your powerboats,back in time when these first became popular, you had to build the entire boat. And Weedwacker-Motors were used. The BIG PROBLEM, was heating of the motor. I have this small Machine Shop where I built water-jackets for the guys. some used fish-tank bubblers to bring in cold water to run around the heads with a water jacket. This worked if you didn't run too long at full speed. As far as keeping them from dumping over at full speed was to place weights in the front of the boat to keep the balance correct. All Old-Technology on my part.--HAVE FUN!!
